^ Yes, indeed. I think they wanted to make sure they were a permanent part of each other's lives before they put themselves out there, expecting the other person to be there as a stable fixture in each other's lives.

^ Yes, indeed. After all they went through, it's understandable why they didn't dare hope that they had found a kindred spirit., but eventually they got there. Now we can only imagine all of the wonderful memories that they will share as they go through life.

^ Yeah. Shawn remembered how he felt when his mom left and his dad chased after her, and he didn't want Maya to feel that way, so he took that step to reveal the truth to her so that she could deal with her conflicted feelings about her parents.

^ Yes, indeed. From the moment Shawn recognized that Maya had had the same/similar childhood, he seemed determined to make sure she would have a better, brighter future. I think he became her hope.
