Is anyone worried about this? I love the vignettes at school. They set the mood of the show perfectly. I feel like they're going to turn the credits into a bunch of FaceRange profiles or text messages or something like that. Sounds hokey.

At least the credits will be longer than 5 seconds. Have they said anything about continuing "Whatever It Takes" as the theme song?

Yeah, I prefer the stuff involving the school more than the times they haven't, but I'd just like proper credit sequence, so if we get that I'll be happy.

And speaking of the season, they're now done filming it. That was fast.

What grade is Jonah in? Is he the only grade 12? Man, I hate that! I really don't want to see any other upperclassmen introduced because they will leave before we get to know them.

I hope Degrassi goes back to what it did with Paige and Emma's classes. We didn't have upperclassmen until they were the upperclassmen and it worked out great! I like to follow the kids through their entire high school experience and have it focus in on a small group. I don't want to have a cast of 20 people so each class is represented by 5 or whatever.

I have a feeling that the next time we see him Jonah will be mentioning how he has to repeat Grade 11 because of some rehab he went to. Or he'll just be in Grade 11 without any explanation (wouldn't be the first time with this show). Either way, I'm not expecting him to be on a Grade 12 island by himself.

Rumor has it that JT's memorial was removed. How does everyone feel about that? Since it isn't a real school, I kinda think that it is time and viewers should be ready for it.

First thing: I am really looking forward to having an official subtitled version on Netflix. The dub here is horrible. If I´d seen the dub before some of the OV I wouldn´t have lasted two minutes because I would have thought it an absolutely cheap show. No wonder there is no fanbase around here. Hope this gets better with Netflix.

But I´m not sure about the only 20 episodes thing + five new characters because it will mean for sure that others will have to stay in the background which is a pity because there are already characters like Grace, Hunter, Lola, Shay and Tiny that I´d like to see more of but then others will have to take the backseat...

I dropped this off in Zoe/Ana's thread but thought I'd bump this thread as well.

What can you tell us about Zoe’s storyline for “Next Class?” How it’s different from “Next Generation?”

“Degrassi: Next Class” as a whole, when compared to Next Generation, is a bit more explicit in language and in content in general. Being on Netflix, we do have a little more leeway when it comes to that stuff. It is more risque. It’s really getting back to the old “Degrassi,” the original “Degrassi.” Back to its roots. In terms of, let’s see, for Zoe. With this season you’re going to see her struggle to find out who she really is. You’re really going to go on a journey with her this season.

Is it the same writers or is it a new team of writers?

Most of them are the same, I believe. Yeah, our head writer’s the same, executives are the same. All the same.

Are there a bunch of new characters that get introduced?

Yes. Of course. New season, new show, new characters. You will see some new faces and they will be sure to mix things up. (Laughs).

Do you have a favorite episode that you’re looking forward to the fans seeing?

I do have a favorite episode. Unfortunately it’s the last episode of the season, so it’s going to take a while for everyone to get there. Yeah, the last episode of the season for Zoe is a big one.

All I can say is that first of all, I hope it's a thousand times better than the oompchat stuff. That's a bad story line period, but even worse as a continuation of the rape/trial story line, which was amazing. Second, I hope whatever is happening in the final episode is NOT romance related. Or if it is, romance shouldn't mean the primary focus. That's just boring.

Completely agreed. Maybe it's because I'm so used to the set used for the first fourteen seasons, but i'm just not a fan just yet. It seems like a totally different school.
