I don't have cable so I usually pay attention to what is new streaming. I'm slow. I haven't even watched the trailer for Stranger Things season 2. Trying to stay mostly up with AHS; Cult. I heard Tuesday night was a good ep for Evan Peters Charles Manson type character.

Last week out friends north of the border lost one of their musical icons in Gord Downie, frontman for The Tragically Hip. His death led to some of our Degrassians posting their tributes on social media. I can't say I ever really got into their music all that much, but I can appreciate the impact they made on people. The video of fans singing along to their last ever song in concert is particularly moving.

Yeah I was always curious but didn't get into them until watching their last show on CTV. I still remember that breakdown. That was raw. I told my parents about the show and Gord's cancer. My Mom didn't have cancer. She had COPD and she went sooner than he did. IDK just seems like he really kicked cancer's ass and used every moment he was given.

Another rock legend hone today, Malcolm Young of AC/DC, considered by many to be as fine a rock rhythm guitarist as there ever was. He was just 64 and had dementia. What a horrible way to go.

Keep on rocking, wherever you are, Malcolm.

But hey, at least Charles Manson is dead. Finally some good news around here. I can't believe that he was narcissistic enough to make sure to catch his character on AHS: Cult before he kicked it.

Thoughts on Cult? I liked the season but I also thought I liked Roanoke and I tried rewatching that once it was on Netflix and wow, that's bad.
