I think I'm just going to let everyone else say something smart today.

Anyone watch the Emmy awards? I didn't, but did catch a list and was disappointed, but not surprised to see The Americans and Fargo get essentially shut out. I did like some of the acting winners, even if I don't (or stopped) watch their shows.

And with the Emmys done, it's on to a new TV season. Any one have any new shows their looking forward to? I've got the following that I'm thinking of sampling:

Timeless- gotta look at one of these new time travelling shows
Lethal Weapon- loved the movies (well, the first 3), so I'll give the pilot a viewing at some point
Bull- Michael Weatherly and the time slot bring me in.
Speechless- another I'll watch at some point show
Designated Survivor- Sutherland and an interesting concept piques my interest.
The Great Indoors- Joel McHale an Stephen Fry are enough for a sample
MacGyver- looks like a total guilty pleasure, can't help but watch it

Truth be told, though, I can't say I have a high interest in any of these.

I haven't had a chance to look up the Emmys yet. I hope that clip of Jeb exclamation point is still on YouTube. Also heard Tatiana Maslany won for Orphan Black. I couldn't believe Ray was back as Raj in season 4. It was probably mentioned in his thread but I forgot and took forever to watch and get depressed over it. What a rough season.

Ray showed up again? That's cool. I have to admit that I bailed on Orphan Black in the beginning of Season 3 right around the time male clones showed up. I wanted Keri Russell to win, but if she wasn't going to win, I'm happy Maslany did.

I wasn't crazy about season 3 for that same reason. 4 is much better. They do a flashback episode and Ray's character is part of that because of Beth.

Yes, stay safe Florida and any of our board members who live there or in the rest of the southeastern part of the country that is in the path of Matthew.

And those of us on the Degrassi board better hold on to our hats because the next storm is....Hurricane Nicole.

I'm in SC, we got a lot of wind from Matthew and rain and that's about it...I'm in the capital.

So gosh, around this time we would get new Degrassi episodes...

I got relatives in Columbia, MegaJ. Relatives that share way too much information on Facebook. Basically, a major reason why I rarely go on Facebook.

Just for you Fellow Mod, Rolling Stone has two lists. The 50 Greatest Horror Movies of the 21st Century, which has a film featuring a Degrassian ranked in the top 10, and 25 Songs That are Truly Terrifying. Cue the Nickelback jokes.

Speaking of music, Pearl Jam is one of the nominees for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Damn, that just makes me feel ancient.

Haven't used this thread in awhile. Are the Oscar nominations out yet?

They come out Tuesday and I haven't seen even one move likely to get a major nomination. Oh well.
