Hi guys! I'm sure most of you have already read this fic, but it's my favorite of all time so I figured I'd share it here in case any of you haven't read it. It's an old fic titled "Fine Control" by Jean Robinson and it can be found here:

It's a post-Irresistible fic and I think it's incredibly realistic. It's one of the few post-Irresistible fics that is centered around Scully's inevitable (IMO, at least) hospital stay following the Pfaster ordeal. Too many fics out there have Scully waiving any medical attention after she breaks down in Mulder's arms, which I don't find realistic.

I'd love to discuss this fic with fellow X-Philes!

Happy New Year, FRVSers! We hope you enjoyed the holidays and didn't party too hard on New Years (though if you did, that's frookin' awesome)! So we're back with new episodes this month, and then we're going to take another little break during February because of the Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. We get really distracted during Olympics, and didn't want to forget to post new episodes (that and we still have a few episodes to finish heading into the final stretch of season 11).

And speaking of season 11s... did y'all catch The X-Files season 11 premiere last Wednesday?! Holy moly cannoli! That was such a fun and amazing episode! The final minutes, holy crap! But seriously, we sorta saw that one coming. "En Ami" is one of our favorite episodes of The X-Files.

Anyway, don't worry about FRVS dropping a Smoking-Man-Is-The-Daddy bomb on you, we have our own surprises hiding up our sleeves (that aren't so controversial). And without further ado, we bring you the thirteenth episode of our eleventh season, "The X-Files." This episode is our little hommage to the television series that inspired us to write this crazy fanfic series. The episode also features (not a) fan favorite, Agent Kyd Miller! If you’ve ever wanted to inject yourself into a casefile and basically make yourself a part of one of Mulder and Scully’s investigations, so much so that you’re actually a tertiary member of that infamous duo, then tonight’s rec is the fic for you.* Livengoo creates in Emma Courtland the every-person character we can all relate to. This is the ultimate third-party POV fic. The subject matter is dark, the fic is lengthy, but it’s so easy to lose yourself in the narrative and to watch through Emma’s eyes as Mulder and Scully swoop into the story, take over the investigation, and eventually solve it.* It’s a really neat experience, as a reader, to delve into tonight’s fic. It really does take ultimate advantage of the 3rd party POV perspective, adding Emma’s knowledge about the local landscape and observance and subsequent intrigue of our intrepid heroes to maximize the reader’s overall engagement in the story. And it is one helluva story. Profiler!Mulder, protective!Scully, there’s a lot to enjoy about tonight’s lengthy casefile. It’s a good one to lose yourself in over a long, snowed-in weekend.

We don't have the time anymore to keep up with fun and exciting website updates, but we still want our readers (and new readers) to be able to access our series. It feels weird to put that out there because we've been online on an actual website since 5 September 1999 (nearly twenty years, yo! <--- whaaaaaaa!), but times are changing and it seems FanFiction.net is the best option for us in today's internet world. We know you will understand, and follow us there (because you're awesome).

We are slowly proof-reading (looking for those nasty little typos) and uploading our episodes in chronological order. Hang tight and eventually all our episodes will be up for reading and review -including the final episodes of season 11- (please review, we love feedback).
