Thanks for the new thread, Neel. I had meant to start the new thread the other day, but forgot. I would be glad to help you compile a list of recommended stories. I can start working on that after I get home from work today.

Neel, I went back through the last thread to find the stories that seemed to be most highly recommended. Admittedly, these are stories that I, myself, enjoyed immensely. Also, they are mostly MSR (Mulder-Scully Relationship stories), as those are the only fan fics I read. I've tried to also include fics that were recommend by others that I haven't gotten around to reading yet. Thus, this list could go on the opening post under "Fics Recommended," underneath Amal's awesome Machines of Freedom I hope this is helpful. I had fun compiling the list!

One Time Things That One Tames The Ineffable Aura of Planet Spooky- bravenewcentury also wrote an excellent sequel to this called Lovers Night Song- one of my favorites, a post-All Things fic An Influence of Stars- or any other fic by the awesome JET (esp. Small Lives Awake) Fathoms Five- or any other Penumbra fic, such as Parabiosis The Common Fate of All Things Rare The Lists of Clay by Scarlet Baldy A Thin Veneer by Analise Learning How to Whistle- a post-"Millenium" fic (and you should read any story by this author) How I Slept with My Partner (Without Really Trying) "Beautiful" and "Simple Gifts" by J.T. Filipek "It's Been Awhile" and "Key Bridge" by Fabulous Monster Condoms Blindsight by Wendiae Aquinnah by Anjou or any other story by this author, such as A Winter's Tale or the Speechless series The Ghosts of Thurmere Hall- one of the XF Big Bang stories, set during season 7 The Quiet Limit of the World- another XF Big Bang story, this one set post-Tithonus The Watching Wall Finally, I want to highly recommend Audrey Roget's new fic, "Pursuit." It is a fabulous 3rd person POV story with TLG and fabulous MSR. You can read it here. __________________

I've read a couple great fan fics the past few days and wanted to share them with you all. First, there is Athene's Mighty and Dreadful. This brilliant story takes place during season 7 and features established MSR and RST. Most of the action occurs between Theef and post-En Ami. Second, I'd like to recommend Wendiae's Behind the Looking Glass. This unique story takes place post-Never Again. It has lots of angst and is also a great casefile/profiling fic. I had issues with parts of the ending, but overall, a good, solid fic and great fun to read.

I have another new rec. It was just posted yesterday and is written by Aloysia Virgata. You can find it on her LJ here. It's a prequel to another story of hers called Inhaling the Different Dawn, so reading that first (which she links to on her LJ) would be a good idea. Great story, but it is heavy on the angst as a warning to those who don't like that kind of thing. __________________
