I think that now Luke and Marissa have broken up, he's got some perspective. Seeing her as someone other than her boyfriend, he can realize how incredibly annoying and selfish she is. He's being nice to Ryan because he feels responsible for R/M getting together and wants to make it up to him. That's my take on it.

I agree with pretty much everything Alli said, except for the Anna hate. I don't particularly like her, but she doesn't bother me so much when I pretend she's not there.

When Summer called S/A brother and sister, it just made sense to me. I really can see them as siblings. [img]smilies/look.gif[/img] The only problem is that whenever they kiss from now on, it's going to look like incest to me. Ew!

To me i think Summer totally didn't know about the Luke sleeping around thing. She was majorly pissed at that Holly girl cause she hurt her best friend Marissa. Thats what i think. I never thought different. Not really b/c Dawson had no reason to be angry. He and Joey hadn't been together for a long time and it wasnt like she cheated on him or was romantically involved with both him and Pacey. Seth however was dating both of them and then he "broke up" with both of them. Summer is still getting used to them going out since she didnt know about the New Years kiss until the concert. Dawson was just Joey's friend and nothing more, it wasnt like she had told him and Pacey both that she just wanted to be friends and then Pacey went behind his back and him and Joey got together. At least that's my take on it.

Why? This is a thread for the episode: what people thought of it overall, of the characters, of the plots, and of the couples. If people don't like Summer, they can't just tell everyone who's praising her to take it to an appreciation thread. It's what they thought of the characters in the episode, and since this is an episode thread, everyone is free to say what they want as long as they aren't going after posters personally.

I'm not seeing what was so wrong with Toby's criticism of Summer. Whiny? She was. What did she do last night but complain about S/A and try to piss them off? Selfish? Maybe. She obviously doesn't want Seth with Anna, and she'd rather get her revenge than leave them alone. Annoying? If you're Anna and Seth or someone who just doesn't like Summer, of course she was. Unaccepting? I don't think anyone can argue with that. She hasn't accepted that S/A are together yet, she's still fighting it.

I love Summer, and she was one of my favorites parts of this episode, but I wish she'd get some self-respect and move on with her life.

I thought Marissa was a lil too guillible when it came to Oliver. However, I thought everyone (except Ryan and Luke) else was also blind for not seeing through Oliver's eyes. Maybe cuz they don't really hear about him that much like Ryan does or maybe cuz they're blinded by the fact that they're getting all these "hook-ups" cuz of him.

-Ryan. The Ryan love is back! Could his life be any more sad? He needs to find a good, smart girlfriend that reciprocates the same love and consideration that he shows Marissa.

-Seth. Ihhhhh, I don't like him with Anna. I find myself not liking him when he's with her. They're muy muy creepy, IMO.

Wow well welcome to the world of any fans of The O.C. who actually happen to like Anna ( and I am not just talking about Seth and Anna or Seth and Summer because I happen to be a loyal Breakfast Monkey who thinks Anna rocks since she is such a strong role model)! This board has turned into a major shippers wars and it is sad. At least with DC the fight didn't start until season 3! Here we are at the beginning of The O.C. with A LOT of years ahead and all we can do is fight and insult fictional characters and at the same time their fans. You know what, I still believe with all my heart that Seth and Summer will get together and I think Rachel rocks and I like her chemistry with the cast because I think she is very good friend with everyone but what am I supposed to do between the time S/S are not together and the time they do get together? Bitch about the other people who will come into the show and start to bash the way a character look or talk because she or he is getting in the way? The truth is more people will come between Seth and Summer. They will probably have the on and off again thing going on for a long time so while waiting I decided to see how great Seth is with Anna because of how confortable they are together. People will come between S/S and why not enjoy what those people bring to the show instead of being bitter about the whole thing. Since Anna came into the show, this board has turned into a major shippers war board and frankly having done it with DC, I don't think I will last on this board if it continues that way. People are now praying for Anna to go away and soon... Fine you don't like Anna and you want her gone but I think we should all keep in mind that once Anna is gone, someone else will come in at one point and what are we all going to do? Fight again... too much energy!

Didn't have much time to post last night but here are my thoughts...

Sandy-So glad he is helping out Jimmy, looks like they are going in business together!

Kirsten/Julie-Totally cool and calm. Liked how she is handling the Hayley situation. Liked the convo between Krsten and Julie. Julie is right about Hayley and Kirsten knew it, too.

Jimmy-Glad he is putting forth a lot of effort and I hope he gets a job whether it be self-hired or what.

Hayley-Kinda glad to see her gone. She really did need to get her own life and own her own money!

Seth-Cute and funny as usual!

Seth/Anna-How adorable are they? Tons! I think they had just the cutest conversations and they looked so sweet sleeping on each other in Luke's car.

Seth/Summer-Not much to comment here but I liked the little commentary as they arrived at Oliver's house in Palm Springs. Also, how Summer wanted him to go help her find her golf ball. I think she just wanted to take him somewhere secluded and make out with him! (Which is not a bad idea at all! Hehe! Go Summer!)

Summer-Loved her in this episode especially her scene with Seth and Anna! "Hello friends!" And when she holds Seth and Anna's hands at the same time, so cute and funny! Liked her funny scene with Luke-"Oh my God. Ew!" Right on, Summer! I don't think I would like them as a couple either.

Luke-Defientely liked how he teamed up with Ryan and they agreed Oliver was pulling some crap on them. I think they should team up to kick Oliver's ass out of The O.C!

Ryan-I totally believe him about Oliver. That guy is so into Marissa and trying to get too close to her! I totally understand how Ryan was feeling in this episode.

Ryan/Marissa-Seems our lovely couple won't be together much longer! Oliver keep messing things up for them, I think. Marissa kept believing Oliver about every little thing and didn't really listen to Ryan. Grr, that made me mad.

Oliver-Further comfirmed he's a total whack job! The guy needs to get some serious help. He is totally trying to steal Marissa away from Ryan. Plus, I doubt he really even has a girlfriend! I bet he is lying about having one. The guy needs to get out now or die.

Next weeks promo-Well, it looks like its getting just wore and worse with Ryan, Marissa, and Oliver. I totally am on Ryan's side though-the guy has got some mental problems. Hope we see more of Seth, Summer, and Anna, too!
