*shrugs* I like it. I really don't see the depressing stuff, but I'm only half way through the episodes. And I have a twisted mind, so I don't see what other people see.

I LOVE FMA. I finished all 50 episodes last year. It was so well written that I kept coming back for more.
As for FMA being "dark" and "violent" it was good combination of everything. At times it could be light, but then it could be just as dark. Some of my fave anime are Naruto, Tsubasa Chronicles, and Peach Girl for the time being. __________________

Full Metal Panic the first series started good and ended REALLY bad. Full Metal Panic Fumoffu was just SPECTACULAR. Every episode was a good laugh, especially the Full Metal Jacket spoof. I'm also a D.N.Angel fan. I really liked it, it was so cute.
For recommendations, I would prolly try Bleach. Bleach is pretty fun. __________________

Unless you're a fan of shounen-ai, then I would recommend Loveless, which is beautiful and I've been liking Peach Girl. Tokyopop releases the manga and the anime follows it almost exactly.
