No problem.
Sorry I caused you confusion. It's freaking hilarious. I'm watching this French documentary about Francis I of France (the father of Henry II who is the father of Francis II on Reign). Basically, Francis I became king because the last king before him left no closer male heirs. And they're talking about how, towards the end of his life, the old king married Mary Tudor of England (Henry VIII's sister). Only, the picture they're showing is of Mary Tudor, Henry VIII's daughter. They're both called Mary Tudor, so I understand that the name could cause confusion. But these are historians. They're supposed to be aware that there were two and to know which is which. __________________

It happens sometimes, on both sides.
Confusion that is. on her being his sister and put on there as Henry's VIII's daughter. They really should have known and been accurate. And it's funny for sure. __________________

They were talking about Mary-the-sister and then, suddenly, they were flashing the daughter's picture.
And, I was thinking, "Noooooo, surely not." But, nope. They didn't even explain that this was the daughter. And there's deeper irony, in a way. For instance, they were talking about Mary-the-sister being married by the old king so that she would give him a male heir, who would have been the next kin. But the old king was too old and died shortly after that. So Francis came to the throne. Meanwhile, Henry VIII married his sister Margaret off to the King of Scotland. She gave him children, including the next King of Scotland. That next King of Scotland was first married to Francis I's daughter, but she died soon after the wedding, and then with Mary of Guise, Mary's mother from Reign. I'll skip ahead, but when Henry VIII's daugher Mary Tudor (the same who was mistaken for the sister in that show) came to the throne, she married the Holy Roman Emperor's son, Philip. She died a couple of years after that, so Philip turned around and married Francis's granddaughter (Francis-from-Reign's sister). Meanwhile, Mary-the-sister was married to an English lord and she had children with him. Her granddaugher Lady Jane Grey was queen for nine days. See, when Henry VIII died, England was Protestant. Henry VIII had broken with the Roman Catholic Church to marry his mistress because he wanted a legitimate son and thought his wife (Mary-the-daughter's mother) was too old to give him one. A few wives later, he finally got his son. So, when he Henry died, his son Edward came to the throne. Everyone was Protestant at court, everyone was happy. Then Edward died really, really young. The next in line was Mary-the-daughter, who was super Catholic. So, people started pretending that the legitimate heir to the crown was Lady Jane Grey, Mary-the-sister's granddaugher. That lasted about nine days, the time it took for Mary-the-daughter to gather and army and march on London. __________________

Okay, you totally fried my brain there.
So I'm not commenting, because I couldn't keep up. Other than they didn't explain it was her daughter, that's about as much as I got. __________________

It can all be easily boiled down.
It was ironic because Mary-the-sister's granddaughter was used by people to try and prevent Mary-the-daughter from becoming Queen of England when it became her time to be queen. Is that easier to understand? __________________

I've been worried about my post all day. Worried I was going to upset you, and that's the last thing I wanted to do.
I should explain-it's all the names being so similar, I got lost. Not to mention my anxiety medication has gone up from 1200mg a day to 2100. So I hope I didn't upset you. That's definitely easier to understand, what you posted. __________________

No worries.
It's just a subject that's interesting to me. So sometimes I get away from myself and start saying too much. It's good that you told me it was too much. I didn't realize your anxiety medication made it difficult to... is it concentrate? or synthesize information? Well, whichever one it is, it doesn't matter. Basically, it's just a matter of me saying to much about it. __________________

I get the same way with things I'm excited about Sunny.
It makes it hard to think clearly-like, I read something, and then it makes sense to me later. I think it was a combination of me and you. __________________

I think this one is one me, really.
I mean, no worries. I'm a big girl. I can accept that I was blurting out too much information there. I'm not gonna get defensive here since I completely agree that this is what was going on. I understand that the meds are making things worse. But it was a lot of information regardless. __________________

Meds are definitely making understand harder.
And I have a lot going on with my benefits with a mistake I made on my paperwork. I've been more anxious, even with the meds. And I've been seriously distracted with everything. So, it definitely, really wasn't all you. A lot of info, yes, but I generally can get the information. Just not right now. __________________

I wasn't taking "credit" for the confusion that your meds are causing.
Just for the bit where I did spew a whole lot of information at once. So it's all good. You can stop worrying about me. __________________

History is good, if you have more. Just the familiar names really boggled me.
Or, what books are you reading? I'm about to start one, and I'm still reading The Fifth Agreement, and the book on joy. __________________

I'm not reading anything about history right.
Well, I'm reading Garry Marshall's autobiography, which I suppose covers his history. But the rest of my history I'm getting from documentaries right now. __________________
