I got them as gifts, yeah.

One from my mother and one from my brother.

Which, come to think of it, is also the breakdown of the Christmas CDs.

So, four CDs in total, two from my mother (one Christmas, one not Christmas) and two from my brother (one Christmas, one not Christmas).

I didn't chose them specifically, but they all did come from my Amazon Wish List.

And how nice that you remembered to do something good for yourself.

I hope it means you're enjoying the music more often.

Cool!

And yay for them getting things off your Amazon list.

Okay, so the CD's are each a set of two? Or am I getting that wrong?

I listened to Cinderella, Nelson, Frozen Soundtrack songs, Adele songs, John Legend, One Republic song, and Bon Jovi.

Quite a variety.

Let me make it super crystal clear.

My mother got me: (1) Amy Winehouse's Back to Black and (2) Richard & Adam's The Christmas Album.

My brother got me: (3) Mumford & Sons's Babel and (4) Pentatonix's That's Christmas to Me.

So I got four CDs in total.

You listened to a lot of excellent music there. At least, the parts of it that I know.

But I think the thing that makes it all especially cool is precisely what you said: the variety.

Thank you. I got so lost there.

I love Pentaatonix' Christmas song I saw on TV over the holidays.

I believe with the Charlie Brown's 50th airing.

Wherever I saw it, I love it. It's the only song of theirs I know.

Yeah-variety is generally the only way I can spend any amount of time listening to.

It's cool how powerful music is mentally.

I've also made over 100 variety CD's that I recorded online.

I enjoy the way the Pentatonix use their voices for all the instruments, you know?

I usually prefer far more traditional Christmas music, but I thought it was very interesting to see them put their talents to use on the classics.

I haven't been listening to music lately, but I think I'm gonna make an effort to do that now.

Did you listen to some?

I've only heard a melody of a variety of the classics by them.

We put the CD on in my brother's car on the way to my dad's.

It was really good, but not exactly my cup of tea.

I mean, I can't argue with their skill and talent and a lot of it is undeniably perfect.

On the other hand, I'm stuck in my ways and like the classics to remain more or less untouched.

So, basically, the only reason I don't love it completely is because the very nature of what they do means they have to mess with arrangements.

I understand that-wanting the classics to remain the classics, as they were.

I'm not a big fan of changes to classics either.

I think I do okay with it music wise, but not in other entertainment areas.

Sounds like you like it for what it was, but you prefer the other versions.

It's funny, because I don't mind people making things their own.

You know, movie remakes and spin-offs, TV shows that are reinvented... I don't mind.

So long, of course, as they remain true to the spirit of the original.

But, with Christmas carrols?

I have zero patience for people altering the originals.

I totally get that.

Some of them really make them different, too, when they remake/redo the songs.

I was listening to Christmas carols last night.

After the Frozen soundtrack.

Loved the movie. I can't remember where we were talking about it, but I loved it.

I just watched it early this morning.

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed Frozen.

I think it's getting a semi-bad reputation (I'm exagerating, of course) because it's so popular with the little girls.

Which is ridiculous, of course, because we all know that movies and TV shows made "for children" are almost always popular with older folk of any age.

All of them.

But the truth is that the adults I know who have seen Frozen are all parents of little girls... so I think they're all a little sick of the movie.

You're making me want to see it now!

Did you see Cinderella?

I know-Disney especially, has mature things going on that kids just don't catch on too, most of the time.

I agree too, that it's good for kids and adults.

I loved the soundtrack, which I'd never listened to all of.

I hope you get to see Frozen.

Cinderella is on tomorrow night/early Saturday morning.

I've got it set to record early Saturday morning.

I think having had such a good experience with Frozen, that I'll actually watch a movie I record

And now I'm wondering if Cinderella can possibly live up to Frozen.

I hope you do enjoy it, if and when you see it.

I think I would watch Frozen, if I had the opportunity.

I'm sure it'll be on TV eventually, right?

I can like things equally.

Frozen, I've had the soundtrack for months, so I knew the story to some degree.

Seeing it just fulfilled my vision and expectations.

It was done well.

Yeah, Frozen will definitely be on TV eventually.

And probably often.

I am not sure when I'll watch Cinderella. Watching tears inducing movies today. And trying to sleep some.
