Some women have the same issue, it's not a matter of gender. Besides, sometimes it's just that the person doesn't wanna talk about what we wanna talk about, like, we think something needs to be discussed, but they don't think so. I remember once I was really mad at something my boyfriend said. He didn't mean anything bad by it, I knew that, and I also knew that it wasn't even important, but for some reason I couldn't get past it without a talk, whereas he couldn't think of anything to say, cause he didn't think there was anything to say that hadn't been said already. So, we had two ways of looking at the same thing, we each had our thoughts on things that needed to be discussed and things that didn't. In the end, of course, we did have the talk, because I couldn't stop being angry until we did so. But ever since then, talking became a lot easier, like, we understood each other's ways, he understood I need to talk things over, however little and meaningless they may seem to be, and I understood that sometimes it's not that he doesn't want to talk, he just doesn't have anything to say. And that's fine, for both

It's normal to feel this way. But don't, really, at least you tried it, and you'd never know if he was or wasn't interested if you hadn't

update on work crush:

Really upset with myself. I don't know why I did it to myself. I taught with him today, and I asked him if he was happy with his new job. He said he doesn't get much support and has a lot to do but he does enjoy it and is enjoying the responsibility. I don't know why but I still hold a ounce of hope that he'll return to our department and be back to working next door to me.
