Oh yes there is I have very valid reasons ( for me ) for not watching some on my haven't seen list and the others on my list are just a ...eh... "Don't conform to the norm" thing I have....

Kali I've had No Wife Without Life stuck in my head since I mentionned it. Well, it alternates with "Marriage Come to Town," especially the part where they go "Life is grrrrreat, let's celebrrrrrrate."



I really liked how they handled Mr Kholi in this one. They were much kinder to him than even the novel is. As someone who's deeply awkward, socially speaking, that was nice.

And, seriously, I completely get the rejection of anything that's "too" popular. I've done a lot of the same thing, in my own way, though it usually applies more to books than movies. Like, I think I saw the first two HP movies before I ever read the books.

We're a big trilogy family, though, so I have to admit that I've seen all the Back to the Future, Indiana Jones, LOTR, Star Wars, Star Trek (since JJ Abrams), HP and so on. But a large part of that is just that I don't like seeing movies by myself and, for most of them, those were the movies where I could go with other people.

I've got some movies i won't watch because I can't stand the "lead" actor/s and I've got others that just don't appeal to me and everyone else is just flocking to them and I've got a few I'm waiting to watch with the right person... I'm weird

Well, as we were discussing two seconds ago, I'm fairly similar.

There are certain actors I can't stand and other movies that don't really speak to me. Of course, I've seen some of the latter simply because I'm a joiner. I'll follow my friends. Which is how I saw the first Divergent movie, despite the fact that I usually stay away from anything (book or movie) that takes place in a "dystopian" universe.

I like what I'll call genre movies, too. Like I said, I'm really looking forward to the new Star Wars and, whenever it comes, the next Star Trek. Sign me up for the Avengers stuff. But, usually, my preferences run for "smaller" stuff. Kinky Boots, Four Wedding and a Funeral, Keeping Mum, Calendar Girls, Dear Frankie, Bend It Like Beckham, The Full Monty...

Anyone seen No Escape, with Owen Wilson?

That's never gonna be a movie I'm interested in seeing, but I am pretty curious to find out if he's any good in it. When I think of action/political suspense, my mind just doesn't automatically go to Owen Wilson, you know?

I really enjoyed the man from U.N.C.L.E. It was stylish and had substance as well. Loved the chemistry between Henry and Armie.

And Henry is just a thing of beauty. Gotta go change my icon

I had a look at the Wikipedia page and it looks like Man from U.N.C.L.E. is closing in on making back its budget.

So, not a smashing success by any stretch of the imagination, but not a flop either. Which I'm really glad to see.
