Hi everyone! Been a while, hasn't it?
I have some good news to report. Since August 2003 (the last time I bought pants), I went down in four pant sizes. From a 22 to 18 and I'm even happier to report that it seems like every day, the 18 size is getting bigger on me. I haven't really exercised, God knows I hate that, but every day I climb stairs (at work) and I'm constantly walking around. I also eat more (good food that is- more veggies, more dairy- mainly milk). I'm pretty proud of myself. Although, if I buy anymore clothes, I'll be going broke! Congrats! That is great!!!! You'll continue to shrink, so don't spend too much on this size of clothes
I am doing fairly well with the eating two meals of Special K, and then a moderate third. We'll see how it goes... Alison __________________

Go you! (Running)
The new Special K (Vanilla Almond) is soooooooooo yummy!!! I am going to get the on the go snack bars today too. My muscle under my right shoulder blade is apparently compensating for my barely used arm (the one with the wrist, obviously, that I can't really use all that much) and is KILLING me. And there is no way to get it massaged out or anything because it is under the bone. Ouch. ** To the person who posted the lemon/ginger juice, etc. drink here.... how did you lose weight? I have done the drink every morning, at least an hour before I eat, and haven't missed a day. No weight loss here... just trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. Thanks! Alison __________________

Hey! Welcome Another person doing the Special K challenge. Fun!!
So, I am basically waivering between 1-2 difference in my weight. No loss, but no gain. I am on meds that have a side effect of weight gain, so not gaining is a good thing. But it just isn't good enough. I need to lose... I am doing that drink still, and eating (well trying) in moderation. I want to lose weight so badly, but I just don't know what to do. I can't do a diet that makes me miserable... *sigh* Alison __________________

briansluv I know how you feel! It sucks dieting and then having nothing happen. especially when you're like me and have a stick-thin sister who eats nothing but sugar all day and doesnt gain a pound ! The Special K diet is the best one I've found so far that lets you eat things you like b/c I like the cereal and the 3rd meal is your choice. My problem is I love things like pasta and bread which are always big no-no's so I havent really found a lot of things I like that I'm allowed to eat.

Today I got to play ultimate frisbee. It was freezing cold, but I didn't notice since I was throwing and running around a lot. I got to be a handler, one of the coolest positions in ultimate. Because our captain, Lindsay (haha same name as me, different spelling...there is like 4 Lyndsey's on the team and we all spell our names differently)anyways...said that I have good throws. I seriously was taken back with that comment, because Lindsay never really says anything good about me. Not that is says anything bad, but it's usually nothing at all. Being a handler is hard work, but I hope to get it soon, because it's a great position and you really get to play.
Side note, over my winter break from school I was looking at pictures from this summer and I finally saw it. I noticed that I had lost weight. I have never been able to notice it, mostly because I am looking at myself everyday in the mirror but I could so tell after looking at pictures from this summer. So I think everyone should do this, and I think that you will see a difference and be encouraged...like me. Lyndsey __________________

That's great you got to be the position you wanted and you got a compliment! It feels pretty good when someone says you're good at something you didn't think you were. (Last year someone told me I was really good at defense in soccer, it felt really nice) Also congratulations on not only losing weight but being able to notice you lost weight!! Congrats on the compliments and the weight loss!
I like the Special K diet too. I got the strawberry and the vanilla almond cereals, and I also got the blueberry and strawberry snack bars. I guess you can have the breakfast and lunch bowls of cereal (and you can have fruit with it), and you can also have the cereal bar for a snack. I have yet to decide what to have for meal #3. I have no idea what else do... hopefully this works Alison __________________

Good luck to those on the Special K Challenge I'm sure you guys will do great! [b]beefshake-weezer[/b I know what you mean about only seeing you had lost weight when you saw old pics. That's what happened to me. I know i lost a lot of weight, my old clothes don't fit anymore, but when I look in the mirror I only see myself a little bit smaller. But when I compare pics, it's like two different people. Seeing that the first time was kinda freaky but it was also a source of great motivation to continue on towards my goal weight. __________________
