I've never had balance to lose in the first place, Kim, so I don't know. Mine's not getting worse as I get older, but like I said, I never had any to begin with. Falling is what I do.

Anyway, it's the week, so of course my head feels fine.

I'm really trying to focus on mindfulness.

How are you doing, Kim? Are you doing creative things lately?

I've been coloring again, lately. I've not really done much the last few weeks. I was in one of those "why bother" phases.

I've been at this assisted living place a full year now, so that's hard.

Sunny, do you have any mindfulness books that explain mindfulness well? I can probably have them look for them at the library here, and check it out for me.

I thing I have one "Overcoming OCD", at my mom's house, Claire, I think.

Mandie, be super careful. That can have really extreme effects.

Anastasia, have you started a new medicine? Or is it the result of depression, or causingdepression?

That's good that you have that book, Kim.

I have Overcoming low self-esteem, Overcoming anxiety, and Overcoming Depression. I've not really looked at the depression one yet, though.

Do keep up the colouring, you need to take time for yourself.

I didn’t know it was a series of books!

I’m just focusing on upcoming spring break and watching tv or movies. My cat keeps me sane, I think.

They are tailored to different things as when it comes to therapy there's no one fits all scenario. I think I will read the others eventually though, as it interests me and I may find new techniques.

That's an excellent idea, Claire.

The other thing, too, is that we'll need all kinds of new strategies throughout our lives as we have different experiences. So the more knowledge, the better, I say.

Not a whole lot going on, Kim. My mother called on Sunday and asked, for the umpteenth time, that I call her more often. And I probably should, but we never wind up having much to say to each other.

I think mostly she's feeling that her days are long, which doesn't make me feel good. I hope she's alright.

I don't talk to my mum as often as I should. But then she never calls me anymore.

I'm working on not being irritated by her, and letting resentment about past events in, too.

Ah, but that's a different story, isn't it? If you have issues with your Mum, you don't owe her anything.

My problem is that my mother drives me insane in many ways, but she's a genuinely loving, lovely and well-intentioned person. She's just a bit much for me. And she spends her days in front of the TV, which is not something I'm judging, while I spend my days at work. So it's just hard to generate converstion?

So if she's lonely or bored... that kills me, but I just don't know what I can do to help.

Yeah, my work is more about mending fences.

I imagine you have to try and accept her the way she is, as much as I do. I get the conversation aspect. My mum only really talks about her cat.
