I'll start a list right now, I love him too. I think my favorite thing about him is that he always loved Rose but he let her go without being too much or a jerk about it in the end. He's so quoteable too.

he's hilarious and his devotion to Rose was always appealimg. I felt he really shined in the ep where they were in the AU world - he was really given a chance especially with Ricky as well. And I love him when he's in the car in the high school reunion ep

Yeah, he did really shine in the Rise of the Cybermen/Age of Steel episodes. I liked the way he grew up, and so quickly. I also loved the whole Ricky/Jake subtext. When it was orginally written Ricky was supposed to be gay and Jake and Mickey were supposed to talk about how Ricky and Mickey different and when it came out that Ricky was gay Mickey was going to say "Well, that's definitely different". I kinda wish we'd seen that.

I think it wasnt entirely obvious that Ricky was gay until he died and Jake's reaction. Thats what made it stand out to me, his anger and how hurt he was by Ricky's death made it obvious to me that they were together - and the fact that any slash is good slash! hee.
That definately would have been am interesting scene to see. I like to think Mickey wouldne have been uncomfortable with it. read a good Jake/Mickey fic that seemed to include aspects of Jake's relationship with Ricky and the similarities between Rpcky and Mickey. reasons, hmm. I'll have to think on that one. __________________

I have to admit I wasn't the biggest Mickey fan when I watched the show the first time around, but after rewatching the show countless times, I'm definitely loving him now  The deleted scene where Jake reveals Ricky was his boyfriend can be viewed on the season 2 DVDs or, in this clip:at about 5:05 in. I wish they hadn't cut it! __________________

Yeah, that was cute. I also really wish they'd have kept the Doctor trying to say "Fantastic". It would have been a great bridge between 9 and 10, plus Rose and Mickey's faces were cute.

Yeah, he had this great repot with the Doctor in the middle of his tenure, I wish we’d gotten more. I think they might have become quite close in ways that had nothing to do with Rose.
