yeah, it always semmed really clear to me that she just wanted a family & spent her whole life thinking that when she found M/M/I, that's what they'd be

I also think that the unlikeable things she did in season 1, she was probably just doing what she was told by Nesado. I don't think that's what she would have done if it were up to her, I think she'd of wanted to get to know them as soon as she could & wouldn't have played any games - but I'm sure he convinced her that that's the way it had to be done, & I think she was quite obedient to him.

See I hate how we never know what happened to her at the end of Max in The City was she forced by Nicholas and the Dupes into living out Nascadoes plan of getting the royal 4 back to Antar? Did they torture her?

I always felt that was a good opportunity to redeem Tess imo, that it wasn't really Tess from that moment on, but we would have lost a lot of sweet MT moments too

And I do wish we got to see more of Nasedo & Tess' POV/relationship. I think people may have felt for her more if they could've seen her being not really loved by him.

And yea, MITC offered the writers the perfect opportunity to get out of the deal/Alex's death mess, but they didn't take it.

No, they didn't the whole thing just shows they didn't have a clue what they were doing. Either they had Rath/Lonnie go out that way for a future twist with Tess, or for them to comeback down the line - but they used neither, which just shows they didn't have much foresight & it was just really bad writing to get rid of two villains that they didn't know how else to get rid of!

I thought L/R would come back. And I thought when Nicholas left, everything he said meant he was going to come back and try to get the granolith again or do something else. For such an important piece of equipment, they gave up on the granolith easily.

I agree I think the Granolith had a bigger purpose that we never got a chance to see. I mean why else would people go to war over it if it was just a ship or a time machine?

I mean, I can understand Nicholas wanting it to either get home himself AND/OR to prevent the others from getting home, but I still feel like there should've been even more to people being in awe of it.
And Tess not knowing what the granolith was was ddumb on the writers part. Nasedo would've told her all the important details, I think.

I agree I think it was more then just a divice to get from here to there. It must of hold some more power then we would of known.

Exactually why bother if it wasn't going to be as important as they made it out to be. Then again a lot of season 2 writers never watched season one or had written scifi before.

I think as far as the Granolith goes - the new s2 writers wouldn't need to see s1. BUT while Ronald D Moore did write sci-fi prior, IDK about the other writers. And it is necessary to have some passion for sci-fi if you're working on a show about aliens.

I will never forgive the writers for inflicting the Hybrid Chronicles on me. The only good thing to come out of that was Tess/Kyle interaction.
