That could be it. Aw I wish season 2 was a little bit better I wanted more scifi and more info on their past lives. Season 3 was so bad.

S3 is the season that never happened. Roswell ended with Max remembering Tess.

season 3 was really terrible, I don't even know if the writers were trying at that point

I think the only thing they were trying to do was get it canceled. They succeeded splendidly.

I honestly have no idea what they were trying to do, I mean they can't have thought those storylines were good & the characterization was awful, it didn't seem like the writers cared so it wouldn't surprise me if they did want it to get cancelled, but it also makes me wonder if they never wanted to get hired on any other tv show!

I'm convinced none of the writers communicated before s3 started or while s3 was happening. I think new writers were brought in for s3? And I think UPN only took Roswell because they wanted Buffy, and the WB said they had to take both shows. So UPN didn't care.
I just like to gloat that getting rid of Tess made the show horrible. She added something to the series.

This is why I hate season 3 with a passion! It was so out of character and so wrong. Liz and Alien with powers NO Liz was HUMAN she always will be! To have her get powers and become more like Max so wrong.

That was the whole conflict of the story Liz human Max Alien!

Also Max an Alien hybrid NO Max was an Alien 100% not half human half Alien!

Seriously I hated the writers for that!

The only episode I like in season 3 is a tale of 2 parties being Melinda Metz who wrote the Roswell High series did the script for that episode and it was pretty funny.

And I liked 4 Aliens and A Baby because Tess came back (However I hate how they treated her)

Liz having powers was one out of the many slaps in the face to Tess fans. It was like the writers were saying Tess wasn't needed to complete the square anymore b/c the group got someone else with abilities to take her place.

Mindwarping >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> every other power.

yeah, they were just trying to have Liz take Tess's place, but I don't buy it. Plus, so many continuity issues came up with it, I don't even know why they went down that road!

It stiil makes me sad that Liz made Tess go flying when they came in contact in 4AAAB. Like Liz, or any other being with powers, could ever beat Tess.

I know, I think that was complete fan pandering too. I also don't think it was that....I'm not sure of that word, but she's supposedly fuelled by anger, but surely if she was angry she wouldn't be standing across the room with her hand raised, it's only when Max pulls her back that she actually starts to physically move to Tess. The whole thing just looked stupid to me.

What I remember most about Tess first coming on the show was being intrigued. I think not hating her was helped by the fact that I wasn't a shipper. And I felt her appearance really made the story go full speed ahead. We started finding out things and a whole lot of action was taking place. So I liked what her arrival brought with it. I can still remember watching the end of TLV and freaking out that she was able to repair that statue.
With Max - I liked how she was bringing out a new side to him. He was always in control and (for the most part) not impulsive. I wish the writers had the guts to explore their intense attraction more, and related it to ZA. That could've been fun to write.

yeah I think most people didn't realise that without her arrival the storylines would have come at a real standstill, Roswell needed her! I was intrigued too, & wasn't involved in the online fandom or anything, so I didn't know that she was sticking around & thought she'd only be in 2-3 eps
