I think the only way s2's mess of a finale could be fixed was if Tess came in the s3 premiere or even mid-season and they redeemed her by saying she wasn't in control of her actions at the time.

yeah if they had some major twist that it wasn't all that it seemed in season 2, if it was a shapeshifter posing as Tess or something like that - that would be the only way to even try & redeem Tess/MT

Did you ever read Loving Destiny or What Is the Truth? Those fics are the best ones that fix the s2 mess. One doesn't make Tess completely innocent. The other makes Tess & Alex be in cahoots.
