It’s been months since Alan’s passing and I can’t say it’s been any easier. I miss my friend daily. I talked to Alan every day, both on and off the board since 2005. That’s over 15 years. I miss him so much. I know he’s in a wonderful place though and I’m happy thinking about the eternal bliss he’s experiencing. Selfish, human me still misses him but I know one day we will meet again.

Lol, true.
Alan loved this time of the year. He loved the Christmas movies, planning holiday celebrations, shopping, watching the NFL soon enter the playoffs, college football. He embraced this time of the year. |

Yes. College Football has been tough this year with so many players getting Covid-19 particularly. I didn't know he enjoyed Christmas films a lot.

It has been very tough. So many differences depending on the conference too.
Yes, he loved Christmas movies on Hallmark. He also loved the classics like A Charlie Brown Christmas. |

Oh. Yeah he was great. I mostly discussed comics with Alan & he was of course quite knowledgeable & helped me out early on a bit when I was getting into collecting them.

That’s wonderful.
We were very good friends. I could talk to him about anything, such entertainment/comics/sports but also, personal stuff. I really miss him. The initial shock and sting of his passing might not be as acutely painful but his passing as time goes by continues to be really tough. He was a great guy. He had a very calming influence on me. As a rule, I’m the exact opposite, I have a lot of anxious energy. Alan’s energy was very calming (and he had such wisdom) and it was contagious. I’d always feel better after talking to him. |
