Oh, I screwed that up above. Not 3 bedrooms but 3 beds in a room! Ha, I caught that as you were responding. LOL It's still all good. If there's 3 beds like that in such a nice place, you know it's spacious and very comfortable. You will not be fighting for space, you will have your own little area.

That is a nice drive! Hilarious story from last year! Also, your surroundings on the way to the hotel are the same. That is good.
So you're leaving Thursday morning?

Shu, you are so right about kids needing the outdoors. So true. Exploration is what it's all about when they're that age.

I should say so!!! You'd be afraid to see what $25 a night would get you here.

Yes and I'm not too much into swimming so at some point I will be alone on the beach while they are in the water.

Well it really was like that. While they were sleeping, we were making sure that we won't mess up and make wrong turn, we coordinated things with other coworkers that arrived before or after us, we were making arrangements for lunch etc, we were choosing radio stations. So yes in a way they were the careless kids while we were handling the serious stuff.

More like Thursday afternoon or something like that. We will talk tomorrow about specific hour.

Taryn
for us 25$ is 1/6 of the minimal salary. So actually a lot of people can't afford to pay this amount of money for vacation. Still though the usual price of the hotel is about 80$ so the discount is really good.

LOL I hate swimming, too, with other people around. When I'd go on trips for soccer and basketball and we'd get a hotel with a pool, I refused to wear a one or two piece... I would wear shorts and a tank. LOL I didn't feel comfortable going there and I mainly only went in the pool if we were playing some type of sport with a ball. Otherwise, I was watching them play with music in my ears or I hit the whirlpool to relax.

Koni, that hotel you are staying at looks much nicer than the last hotel I stayed in in NYC/Manhattan. Granted, in NYC you are paying for the location, not the hotel but still... we paid 300 bucks A NIGHT for our hotel in Manhattan. Yes, Time's Square was staring at us right out the window but still... and that was even a discounted price! Never will I do that again. I will pay much cheaper for a different location in NY instead.

But yes, trust me, your deal is a good one! LOL You have a nice selection of restaurants at the hotel, too. Very cool. I hope you have tons of fun.

I like to swim, but only by myself in my own pool. My pushy neighbor and his kids want to come over every weekend and swim and I finally had to lay down some rules: Saturday nights from 6:30 to 8:30 only. Otherwise, they were trying to come over Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and it got to be too much.

Wow, Jerry, you were right to put down some specific hours. That is even nice of you to make those two hours on a Saturday night. How rude that they were trying to take advantage of the full weekend! What an annoying nightmare. Glad you fixed the situation.

Yes, I love swimming all by myself and to get some exercise and just relax. Swimming is a wonderful form of exercise. I just don't care for the social aspect of it like a crowded beach or annoying neighbors. LOL

I just don't like it when it's crowded with people. So I don't go there. It's like whenever I'm in the water someone is there to invade my privacy.

Otherwise I do wear normal two piece (not too revealing) and I sit under the umbrella.

Jerry good for you that you set up some ground rules . I would have done it too if I were you. How are you?

I'm doing good Koni, thanks, just really busy at work. I'll be on vacation next week though (we're just going to stay home and relax) so I'm looking forward to it.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How many people, Betty?

See that might be okay with me because you are getting healthy exercise. There is a "purpose" so I don't feel like others are looking at me and I don't get nervous. I think I might be okay in this case. I think it's great getting exercise like that even with others around!

It is similar to how I can be okay in a crowded casino. I am only concentrating on the task, which is spinning the slot machine. I sort of tune others out even if people try to talk to me. lol It's mostly okay because my mind is ultimately focusing on something else.

Believe me, they'd be looking at you and thinking, "What the hell is she doing here?" lol

Because most of the women in that pool really really need the class!

I got it. But good for them to go there. Swimming is the best exercise on the planet if you ask me.

Do they have aerobics classes for different age groups or fitness levels? I really should think about doing this. I need it for my terrible knees. Since my surgery that has turned me upside down in many ways, my exercise level has gone down the tubes. I need to get back into it.

I should see if Seton Hall has something like this on campus. LOL

All age groups are welcome to the class and you're advised to do as much as you can. The majority of the participants are older, however...mostly people with bad knees or other physical disabilities. Our instructor has even had knee surgery.

We should definitely look into that.
