Can't say I ever thought of him as a womanizer. I had forgot most of the scenes of him with B'Elanna. Although I prefer the Tom/B'Elanna pairing, there was some good chemistry between Chakotay & B'Elanna.

It's nice to see somebody still making vids.

Oh, and I want one of those shoulder rubs he was giving Janeway. *sigh*

I always thought B'Elanna had a thing for him in the early years.

At first it seemed that the two of them were going to be paired up. While the characters did have chemistry together, I'm glad they didn't pursue that relationship and took the characters in other directions.

They started characters off in weird ways from where they ended up I've noticed.

True. I would have thought that they'd have done more with Tuvok and Harry, but those characters always seemed to be in the background. I wonder if the EMH was originally planned to be such a big role?

That does make you wonder.

There really isn't a ton you could do with Tuvok though, he wasn't interested in relationships and he was a fairly boring character.

They saved all the angst and drama for T'Pol, lol.

Exactly, you'd think that the writers could have come up with something to make him a bit more interesting. They seemed happy to leave him as the token Vulcan.

Which honestly was okay with me, I hardly find the Vulcans interesting and then I felt like we had too much with T'Pol and her crisis of the week on Enterprise to some extent.

Agreed. I suspose part of that was they were trying to show that humans were still learning about and to work with alien species. Characters like Mayweather, Hoshi and Reed were terribly underused. I think Enterprise was worse for not developing and fully utilizing all of the characters. While Voyager neglected Tuvok and Kim, I don't think it was to the same extent.

Yeah they kind of boiled down to the main three after the second season for the most part.

VOY was an ensemble show with the exception of Harry who they didn't show that often.

Did you hear how Garrett was going to be let go from the cast instead of Jennifer Lien but suddenly he made People's 50 Most Beautiful list and TPTB decided to keep him on. I read that over at TWoP I believe.

No, I'd never heard that. With Kes, they had kind of backed themselves into a corner when they gave her species such a short life span. While I liked her, keeping her would have meant breaking continuity. Although Trek writers have never really have a problem doing that if it will suit their purposes.

Last night I was watching Big Love and who do I find, but Chakotay himself, only much older with long gray hair. It was quiet shocking.

Really? I'll have to see if I can find a screencap of that.

I haven't seen him in anything since Voyager, so I can imagine that he looks a bit different and it would seem weird.
