My rewatch of TNG has reached the end of season five. That is when Crusher evolved from mildly annoying to immensely irritating.

Beverly.
Arranged marriages are a form of slavery; We are not at war with the Borg, because there has been no formal declaration of war; I insist the ship and its crew be put in danger so I can attempt to save a dying Borg's life; etc.

I much preferred Beverly to Pulaski.

I never liked Crusher, because she was always used to make decisions understandable to the ignorant members of the audience by being "the moral voice." After a while it made her annoying.

hmm ... Can't say I agree with you there. Well, perhaps she did provide "the moral voice" by times, but I never found it annoying.

Same here. Which leads to a new question: Does anyone present actually prefer season 2 over Season 1 or do they like that first year better than the second?

Ooo that is a hard one...

I think I would go with S1 because with S2 you'll always knew that it didn't feel right with Pulaski there..the family member was missing

I never felt that Pulaski fit in with the rest of the crew as Crusher did. So while the second season did have some good episodes, overall I prefer the crew dynamic in the first season.

Definitely Crusher over Pulaski, but probably only because she was there as part of the new crew when TNG started. If it would have been Pulaski in season 1, perhaps we would all feel a bit differently

Welcome aboard!

I don't know, to me Pulaski never made any effort to develop friendships with her crew mates. And the friendships were part of the appeal of the show for me. She was just there to do her job.

Darth and welcome

and I feel the same , it's like she didn't make any real effort to be friends with anyone

What about Worf? She seemed to be forming a friendship with him while she was there.
