You should try picking favorites the other way too, out of the whole of Trek with no regard for show. That way indicates which shows really matter to you. Also, I find that even with shows that are priorities for me, some of my lesser favorites get dropped from the list when I'm picking favorites for the entire franchise. I prioritize. Like, for example, not only are my full-franchise general Trek favorites only from TOS, TNG and DS9, but I find that when I'm picking from the whole franchise, lesser favorites like McCoy and Jadzia get dropped off the list. Try it. See what you come up with.

Me too. It would be nice to have pics of them as themselves, and pics of them in character.

TNG is great, but can't we have some of that kind of attention for DS9? It's tough being a big fan of the one the less well-known Trek shows. DS9 had such lively character portrayal. I was very fond of most of the regular characters and liked a lot of the supporting cast too. Captain Sisko, Kira, Jadzia, Odo, Quark, O'Brien, Bashir, Worf -they were great. Nana Visitor, as Kira Nerys, is probably my favorite of those characters. She did such good work and she just doesn't get the attention she deserves. Love that show.

I discovered DS9 much later than TNG and VOY. I've watched TOS and TNG as a kid. When I was a young teenager VOY was in German TV on Fridays at 8:15 pm. DS9 was really late like 10 or 11 pm and I think during the week, not a time I was allowed to watch or would even try to watch regularly at that age. I got it on DVDs later when I was older.

I didn't care for DS9 when it was airing and gave up on it. Tried it again a few years ago and quite enjoyed it. Especially the continuity. The writers did an excellent job of making most episodes stand alone, but threading storylines throughout a season and the course of the series.

For me DS9 worked better once I could watch multiple episodes together. Made it easier to pick up on the continuing story threads.
