Thanks for the new chapter, by the way! The two parts must have been so difficult to write, in their own unique way.

The first part was magnificent in its completeness (I'm not quite sure I have it figured out. This begs multiple rereads). There are so many attempts at writing fanfiction on the Originals, and so far the only good one I've seen is this one here, but it was so woefully vague on the details. Other attempts were so contrived and forced, whereas your portrayal of Cecilia was completely believable and tragic.

The second part was perfection. I love how the tension and restraint work together and are manifested with such purity. I also love how their moment mimics their first encounter (see black_betty's avatar in the previous post for reference), except that the kiss does happen but it was as tender and fragile as their relationship. Keep up the good work!
