Oh I don't consider Katherine running from Klaus and Elijah as anything bad. I'm in the camp who don't think Stefan and Damon should've been so quick to let Rose live. I snorted when Elena asked Katherine if she ever felt bad for what happened to Rose and Trevor; I think that was Elena being a little too sympathetic. It's Katherine's own words and the way she went about things. And unfortunately, the only take we have on Katherine's interactions with Elijah are his own memories; Stefan and Damon's memories of Katherine during their first days together didn't show a scheming Katherine either. It showed a charming young woman that two men fell in love with. At the end of the day, Elijah doesn't blame Elena for trying to survive so I find it hard to believe that's what he wants Katherine to pay for. I get the feeling Elijah thinks he was played too.

JP said Elijah's reaction upon meeting Katherine was absolutely because he recognized her as the doppleganger but I didn't see it as a stars-in-his-eyes encounter. To me it read more like "OMFG Trevor actually earned his keep she is truly the doppleganger now I can help my previous bb brother be free! "

I'm cool with Elijah having a romantic past I just hate the idea that it consists of Petrovas. It's like, they aren't the only women in the world! There have only been 3 in a few thousand years!

It's ok. I love the discussion. And I'm not a great Katherine fan. Actually I'm fairly indifferent now or at the point where I can't stand her. Elijah's memories of her made me cringe. Her arrogant swagger, her Klaus drooling, the whole talk about true love.

Hell that talk was sooooo wrong. True love is not real unless it is returned my ass!!!
You can fall in love with a person and experience true love without the other person even knowing. You just can't act on it and be on the receiving end, but that doesn't mean it's not real. (Best example EE!!!!!!!)

Yes Elijah was never in love with Katherine! And there must be another reason why he feels like Katherine must pay. I don't think that it has anything to do with Katherine's survival instinct, you are right. That would be a completely stupid argument to want someone dead. No, she probably did something right before she left. He was fairly pissed when she simply left, because it caused problems with his brother and he was completely loyal to him. But there must be another reason why he wants her dead so badly- correction wants her to pay without getting his hands dirty- And this topic will also be in the next chapter of my fanfic, because I have an idea.

Yes the icon is one of the only gifs I ever made. I found the same scenes on tumblr and the quality was much better than mine. Don't know how people do this all the time. I'm not good at gif making.

I would probably die from happiness Srsly. I would just rewind the episode to watch the scene over and over and over again. You guys would never see me again because I'd spend all of my time in front of the tv just watching it like a psycho.
