The party itself was extremely well organized and the concept was hilarious but I still think it was a bit cruel considering they knew how deeply affected Brian could have been by the event in question.

Yes it was before. But they've been friends with Brian long enough to know how extremely freaked out he can get about his age.

Honestly? I thought his behavior afterwards seemed a bit too far fetched. I mean, to try to be straight? Doesn't really make much sense to me.
But that he was worried showed one thing pretty good: Even with protection, you can never be 100% safe. The only way to be safe to not have any sexual activity at all.

I sound like some kind of teacher right now.

Oh my that really sounded teacher like

I totally loved the scene when he closed himself in the bathroom and was "praying" - it's such a human reaction. Even when we're not religious we tend to promise anything to gods to make something happen.

That reaction was pretty normal, yes, but what I didn't like was the whole "See the light" storyline. That was what I was "complaining" about.

I actually don't agree with that. The whole storyline seemed extremely "American" to me - with the idea of some extreme religious organization picking up fragilized people on the streets to make them "see the light". It's very secte-like and very probable. I've never seen such open recrutement in Europe as it's been proven to exist in North American societies. And in the state of mind Em was it wasn't that hard to have an influence on him - he was questioning his choices in life, his decisions and the lifestyle he was sporting. It's easier than people think to manipulate someone in such a state of mind. Religious or pseudo religious groups feed off such people because they're the easiest targets. And it's been scientifically proved that the easiest ones to "corrupt"/"make see the light"/"brainwash" (though it's been quite criticized last years that such thing doesn't really exist) are the most eager believers of the opposite matters e.g. it's been proved that the most eager Catholic is most likely to switch their religion into another one under a certain type of influence, rather than someone who's not a firm and determined believer. And I'm getting OT so I'll shut up now.

I agree...i didn't like the "see the light" storyline.Where's Emmet philosphy "f.uck 'em all"?Anyway the party, was a little cruel for Micheal, but Brian is Brian: he always make big gestures! He was even more sad than Micheal:and the end of the episode shows it clearly

I thought Emmet's "see the light" storyline was quite realistic...

The party was more cruel for Brian then for Mikey.
