It is so frustrating when shows stop promoting.

With GG they never started or they did the bare minimum and hoped for the best. I'd have preferred less luxury stuff in the episodes and more promotion, I would have understood diminishing that only with a 5th or 6th season, I mean even the OG gave up with later seasons and they even started reusing old photoshoots, but the show was on track by then.

It's not like because it's GG and everything is online now, then there's no need to promote it. The cast was big and they could have really sent them everywhere, even found a way for them to be seen at Broadway premieres or fashion stuff.

Promotion for shows gets lazier & lazier. But this was ridiculous. It is like they started (poorly) as they cancelled the show

Ths was ridiculous because it was just the second season, not like the 5th, as I said. Honestly I think for them all this "promotion" wasn't even promotion, but just something to do at the end of a second season when a show is allegedly established, like now everyone knows about it, let's post content they may be interested into. Let's post more content for the fans! You can see it in the tone they used, it was clear they imagined to have a third season, so it was more fan content than promotion to attract more viewers.

This for the IG/social media stuff, I mean. The cast interviews were absurd, even though, once again, they imagined that at the end of S2 the cast was supposed to be more known and therefore people would have been more interested in reading them or watching them on tv. I can't believe no one was interested before, only Cosmopolitan! Then there were surely better ways to make the cast more visible at events.

Tavi, Johnathan and Todd were at the Succession HBO event (I think it was a screening? Or a premiere party? No idea).
I didn't expect them to be there, honestly like HBO Max cancelled GG, so they're not working for them anymore, plus Succession is an HBO show (even though GG used the plane and one of the characters office for a GG character - Roger)
