It doesn't make sense, seriously. I've never seen that with any of the shows I watched, even those who got renewed for several seasons. I get the interviews with the showrunner at the end to explain and talk about the season, but cast getting interviewed to promote it? Okay, it's a streamed show so it's always available, but still what's the use in it, when, if it had been renewed, still we wouldn't have gotten anything before few weeks from the premiere? I mean official stuff, not the on set pics by paparazzi.


Anyway it looks like Savannah and Emily are going on holiday together again, they took a plane together today or yesterday!

Being streamed shouldn't matter. They should've had the cast out there before or just after the show started premiering. Not now/towards the end. Remind people about the show, get them tuning in sooner rather than later. Get those ratings up so to speak.

The interesting thing is that they didn't do that at the end of S1. I don't know if it was because the shouw was a big success for them, back then, but still we got basically nothing AND the show was coming back for another season. And also the last six episodes were gone in two weeks, so peple bingewatched them and it was done, all the advertising was for Euphoria (which is an HBo show, but still it goes on HBO Max as well).

Unless they had planned all the interviews for post S2 because even though they believed it could be another hit, they felt like the "new" status wasn't going to help anymore so they thought to get people talk for a bit longer? They even released more stuff post-season than when S1 ended, when we just got a ton of characters' IG posts all in a bunch of few days because the last episodes had been released in batch. Anyway it's already over and I don't think it's because the show has been cancelled, so I guess there weren't many interviews anyway. STILL they should have done it sooner, maybe it would have helped, instead of counting on a spoiler person on Twitter to keep the buzz active during filming (that's why Safran let him post without telling him to stop, it helped somehow).

The cast just did some photoshoots for magazines, but in those things people look more at the pictures, than at the interview and most of the times the questions about GG were like...one? Two? Not more. I read a lot of Evan interviews for example, but questions about GG were always one or two max and mostly always about the same thing, being the way that was his first acting gig and how he had got it and how much he was enjoying learning new things. Which can be interesting, but only during S1, now not anymore. The only different thing he said once was when he said that the show was getting a S3 for sure (and then it didn't). I mean, you can get the cast on tv and magazines talking about the show even if they can't spoiler stuff.

Their plans are illogical. What they did for S1 also didn't make sense. But they clearly here planned promotion, but then did it all in the back half or after the show ended which just is illogical. Promoting & teasing at the start of a season makes far more sense. Unless they thought they had a sure hit...

I think it's what they thought. They bragged when S1 aired, saying also that it had made the OG GG viewership grow, they said it was the most viewed show on HBO Max. I'm sure they believed they could make S2 a hit without promotion or sending the cast everywhere. Even the S2 trailer was posted a few weeks before the show premiered.

It would have been nice to see the cast making photoshoots together for S2 too, maybe even get them invited at fashion shows as a "GG group" and not individually - like the actors went, but on their own, invited by fashion houses. Glossier hired Evan, Savannah and Ziòn for an advert! We could have gotten more "X character and X character get ready with Vogue" like we did with Julien and Max in S1, maybe this time with Luna and Monet or maybe even have some kind of frenemy video with Monet and Julien. The OG cast sometimes was invited to sport events, even! In the reboot they could have used the close friendship among the cast - way stronger than the OG show one - to promote the show in S2, since the characters instead didn't feel much as childhood friends (because of the poor writing).
