GRAPHICS TEAM MENTORING

WHAT IS IT?

The Graphics Team is a group of people that not only makes graphics for Fan Forum, but also encourages each other to become a 'better' graphics creator. We pride ourselves on being supportive of each other and getting the best out of each other. With this program we want to extend that exchange towards more than just the Graphics Team Members, to potential future Graphics Team Members and people that would like to see what it's all about.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Each person that wishes to participate in this program can say so in this thread (or PM one of the Graphics Team Managers). The Graphics Team Managers will then appoint a Graphics Team Member to you who will help you out, providing tips and adjustments that improve your chances of becoming a Graphics Team Member. This person will be your contact person, and you can ask them anything about any concerns or questions you may have. They will do their best to assist you in your journey to our team. The endgoal is for you to be a member of our team, so if that interests you, definitely think about joining!

ARE THERE OTHER PLACES I CAN RECEIVE ANY TIPS OR ADVICE?

If you're a little unsure on if you want a mentor or are ready for one you can always give making a banner a go and PM what you've made to one of the Graphics Team Managers and we can help you out. Otherwise you may wish to post them in this thread and any of the Graphics Team members may provide advice and tips on your graphic. There are also some tutorials made by current and previous team members which you can find here: Mel's Tutorial, Rae's Tips, and Soph's Tutorial.

If it helps skintones are a struggle for most of the team I think

I usually stick with one photoshoot but sometimes it's not feasible.

But it's nice to know its a team issue too!

If its not feasible I'd recommend trying a different celeb or show, at least for practice, to make it easier on you. Of course there's always the photoshoots which have different lighting in the one shoot but that's another story. But don't worry, its a team issue, & its a minor detail as we do all know how hard it can be to match them

She can go months without PMing me anything & then turn around & PM me something more & I'll be there for her still. That's what this program is here for, to help you on your terms & in your time. Really if you have thought about joining the team but aren't sure if you have the time for it this mentoring program is perfect for you as it gives you the chance to see what is required of you without joining the team. Your mentor can guide you on the process, give you suggestions & feedback, & allow you time to attempt to make two graphics in the roughly two week period to see if you can do it

Also if there are any artists around

(or outside if you want to get them to join

) that you know of who may be interested in this, or you think may be a good addition to the team please point them in the direction of this thread or let one of the GT managers know & we can approach them & see if they're interested in signing up for a mentor &/or joining the team

I'm working on my skin tones some more, like mentioned it's been my biggest struggle, but knowing it's an issue for most makes me feel better too!
