What do you use it for, Rella?

Is there any other features you like about this version? I like how it has it's own special area for typography.

Right now I'm trying to master Vectors. Which I'm finding quite tricky, but I'm experimenting with the lasso tools and line tools.

Hello, I'm not really sure if this is the right thread to post this, but I have a question about Photoshop. I found a vintage coloring tutorial today that I would like to try out, but I am already stumbling at the first hurdle. Basically, I would like to know how I can place an image in a separate layer in Photoshop CS5, so that it has Background and photo, but separate from each other. I'm sure I'm not explaining it very well, so I am going to link to the tutorial that I want to try because it has a picture of how the layer box should look like: Photoshop vintage effect | Veerle's blog

I would be really glad if someone could help me with this.

Hi.

Just click on the "Create a New Layer" button (it looks like a piece of paper with its corner folded) on your Layers tool bar.

PS CS3 has more options than PS Elements does. PS Elements is cheaper though.

I am not sure if you figured this out yet but thought I would answer anyway. You should be able to, I can make icons in Elements 7. You may just need to play around with things to get used to the program.
