I have the vibrance tool but I don't know how to use it...

Mmm well for my icons I use it as an extra layer. The vibrance makes things more orangey and it also has saturation which you can fiddle with.

You need to be careful with the vibrance tool because it also affects the face when using the tool. I mainly use it to enhance the background in a picture and then erase the vibrance from their face.

I used vibrance in my icon. He was too pale so it brought out orange in his face. Like Rella says, if you use too much it makes them look overtan () so you can reduce the saturation to level it out.

I loved using saturation in the old PS, but vibrance for me brings out the colours a lot better

Vibrance tool is pure amazingness. The effect is much more subtle than upping the saturation.
