Photoshop User #1

Lets start talking about the amazing program that is Photoshop :D

CS6 is apparently coming out in a few months time and it apparently also has auto save, which will come quite handy whenever photoshop crashes. :pout:

Thanks for the thread, Rella. :flowers:

That's very cool -- auto save will definitely come into handy. :)

Does anyone actually save their artworks from time to time, or just wait til' the end to save?

Snarky Susan 02-12-2012 09:10 AM

I save from time to time. Learned how to the hard way.

Sweet Embrace 02-12-2012 10:13 AM

I save from time to time, just because I often go off to do stuff or have to do other things, and of course its useful to save the PSDs. I have a old version though, I can't afford the newer ones.

sharmans 02-12-2012 11:33 AM

I try to save all the time, but it's something that is easily forgotten when you're creating something.

Sweet Embrace 02-12-2012 01:01 PM

how many of you save PSDs of favourite effects, or colouring?

Tina 02-12-2012 02:13 PM

I save PSDs. I also only save my artworks til' the end... I'm really bad with that... however, I never really have any computer freezes. :)

Snarky Susan 02-12-2012 02:45 PM

I save PSDs as well. :D Especially if I can apply it to many pics.

Sweet Embrace 02-12-2012 03:12 PM

I'm glad you guys do because I'd be lost w/o my PSDs.

sharmans 02-12-2012 07:42 PM

I always save my PSDs. They could come quite handy. :)

Marki 02-13-2012 03:49 AM

i constantly press Ctrl S throughout my psd howver i wouldn't like the autosave feature beause sometimes i dont want to save my progress because ive changed things i wish i hadn't etc

Snarky Susan 02-13-2012 06:18 AM

Maybe there's an option to turn it off.

My question now is...will it work on Wine? FYI, Wine is a program that allows Windows programs to work on Linux.

The fact that the work is saved automatically is definitely a help, but does it take more memory by doing this?

sharmans 02-15-2012 05:44 AM

I am sure it can be turned off, which is usually the case.

No idea :look: CS6 hasn't been released yet, but I like two or three vids of some things in the beta version.
