I really have been meaning to check out Willow (love the movie) but just keep pushing it back. I've been doing that with a lot of shows/movies lately. Hopefully I'll get to it soon.

I don't think that's really downplaying it but just trying to clarify/remind that just because you liked, loved, enjoyed, etc. something doesn't mean the person/people you are recommending it to will like, love, etc. it. Even if you know the person really well and the person you're recommending it to has the same taste as you and there's a big chance they will like it, there is still no guarantee they will like it.

I've seen too many times (especially at this one particular place) where people will go so and so lied to me because these people loved it and were recommending it but I didn't like it.

Nobody lied. They just liked it and you didn't. And that's ok.

The pandemic really slowed me down, I mostly watched shows I already know bc it was my safety blanket in uncertain times.
