In a league like this, most of us can be dominant centres.
Carter-for-Kirilenko (and I assume a draft pick, or a supporting piece, etc) would work for me; I can see Toronto taking a huge beating short term in terms of public relations/marketing. That said, a guy who can dominate at both ends like Kirilenko is a real building block. Taller, more balanced, a far superior defender, younger, significantly cheaper, can play C in the East and allow Bosh/Marshall to work as an enormous PF/SF tandem, he would bring huge dividends after a few years. As a better defender and someone who doesn't need the ball to succeed, he also plays far better in the Kevin O'Neill system of defense-first, offense-second. Maybe grab Raul Lopez as well, use him as the point, use Rose as a huge SG? Lopez/Rose/Marshall/Bosh/Kirilenko isn't flashy, but would work well along with Curry/Murray/Peterson/Williams forming an extremely short but long bombing bench. __________________

He was upset with the bad officiating of the refs in the NBA and the game so was Carter but all you saw was Shaq channelling the Osbournes. He got suspended for tonight's Pacers game. While I think its rather absurd to suspend him for exercising his 1st Amendment(and I don't even like Shaq) I have to thank Commi Stern for letting Shaq miss the Pacers game. Cuz we won 85-72! |

The Pacers beat "part" of the Lakers last night.
No Shaq, Carl or Kobe. Even Jermaine got the night off to rest his neck. It was funny to see the ticket scalpers having such a hard time selling anything. One man on the news had two tickets he would sell for $20, and no one would take them. A lot of people wanted to see Shaq. |
