Maria's run at the Australian Open came to an end last night as she was routed by Angelique Kerber 3-6, 1-6. Disappointing result for Maria.

She was never in the match and just couldn't get anything going. It was a match to forget. So that's the end of Maria's run in Melbourne. It was alright. She got the big win over Anastasja Sevastova, but all that positive momentum was dissipated by last night's match. Hopefully she and the team can see what improvements are needed before her next tournament, which will likely be in Doha in a few weeks.

I wanted Kerber to win, but I thought that Maria would have played better.

it sure was a disappointing end to Maria's run at AO

she made so many errors and it didn't feel like she was there but it happens..I'm glad she's healthy and can continue her season anyway

gotta give it to Kerbs who played flawlessly really.

It was my friend who loves Maria birthday yesterday. He was very upset she lot on his birthday.
