No, no league games this weekend.

Yeah he's going through a drought in La Liga (he's scored 6 goals in the UCL though, being the top scorer at the moment). He's only got 1 goal in 7 games (he was banned for the first 4 games). But he's still been playing well, he was great at the latest match and you can't blame him for a lack of trying. Well, I guess once he gets one in, the goals will start coming. I hope that he'll have a big game in the next match too, the Madrid derby would be perfect to make a comeback.

I hate when there is no league play.

I'm sure he'll get through this drought. I always find when a player is in a drought of some sort once they start scoring they score a lot.

It's pretty boring, yes.

I'm sure he will too. He actually had only one goal this time last year too and at the end of the season he was the 3rd highest scorer in La Liga. So I'm hoping there's an abundance of goals waiting this year too.


I was so disappointed with Italy losing to Sweden in the 1st leg of the WC playoffs. D: I just can't imagine the World Cup without Italy and Buffon has to get that record of most WC apperances. I hope they can turn things around and win in Milan on Monday!

I didn't realize Italy wasn't in the WC yet. That would be so weird.

They were in the same group with Spain so it was going to be one of them in the playoffs and Italy was unlucky to finish 2nd in the group. Anyway, they dominated the first playoff with Sweden but failed to score, and Sweden was kinda lucky with their goal (the ball changed direction from a defender so there was no way Buffon could have stopped it). Italy needs to win with 2 goals and they're through. I just really need that to happen, I will cry if they don't qualify. Italy was the 2nd national team I started supporting, we go way back.

I was shocked to see that Italy didn't qualify. This World Cup is missing lots of unexpected teams.

I am not really a fan of their team but I fully expected them to make a goal at some point in the game to get them to extra time and maybe even the penalties.

I am so sad about it. This is the first time in 60 years that Italy didn't qualify. And it was also Buffon's last international game, he would have deserved to retire in his record breaking 6th World Cup and not like this.

I expected that too although I did have a bad feeling before the game. Italy had the ball possession but Sweden did a great job defending the entire game. Italy just didn't have anyone who could have finished the chances they created (or that someone wasn't subbed in...). And this is so typical of Sweden to qualify with a lucky goal. All credit to them but personally I hope they don't make it past the group stage (and this has nothing to do with this playoff ). xD


Club football is back this weekend!

Haha, I know right. Weekends are just better when there's club football.

At the moment I'm watching the London derby (Arsenal - Tottenham) and in the evening I'll watch the Madrid derby (Atletico Madrid - Real Madrid).

It really is. My mom and I watched Leicester vs Man City. I wasn't up early enough to watch the London Derby.

I watched Leicester vs. Man City too. Too bad you missed the derby but there will be more.

I knooooow. Instead of Real and Fake Madrid it was two Fake Madrids. Atletico was so damn violent and it mostly went unpunished. But Real wasn't effective either, although they had better chances than Atletico. But Real should have been able to win it. Well, La Liga is practically Barca's now, you're welcome.
