I totally get that. I feel the same right now. I hope that you can find something to help you de-stress. Are you doing anything specific right now?

Yesterday, when I was sitting out on my friend's front porch, I was just marveling at how bright blue the sky was. Not one cloud. The most beautiful weather I've felt in a long time. And I'm never the type of person to sit outside and just enjoy the weather. But there was something so simplistic about it in that moment. It just soothed me and calmed me.

I've just been watching happy sitcoms to cheer myself up. I've still been generally feeling out of sorts/depressed due to current events though, and work stress.

That's nice. Sometimes, something simple like that just helps calm you down.

This is a scary time for mental health. I worry so much about my students. I can't imagine being a kid right now, trying to make sense of everything that's happening in the world. And some of them have some great parents who are willing to talk to them about it, but some of them just . . . don't. I've been struggling with a lot of guilt lately, because I can't be there for them. I'm trying to get something set up, but I feel like it's a long-shot. Gotta try, though.

Going for walks has been helping me out a lot. I think I'll go for another today.

Yep. And I didn’t think walks were really going to do much for me, but I’m surprised and delighted that they have.

Another thing is just accepting it’s okay to not be okay and acknowledging being in that headspace. I’ve taken a lot of that time to self-reflect and be by myself. Sometimes you just need to lay in bed and be lazy.

Yup, whatever makes you feel better and isn't hurting yourself/anyone in the process ... just do it.

For Christmas, my co-teacher got me a certificate for a massage, which could definitely help relieve some stress right now.
