Weirdly, that kind of thing has never really bothered me. I've never seen a show where I haven't been extremely familiar with the original cast recording before going, and I've never seen an original cast of anything, but it's never taken away from an experience for me because I like seeing different people's interpretations of line delivery and the different riffs they'll do, stuff like that. Sometimes it's definitely jarring - between seeing the show twice and listening to the original cast, I've heard three Aaron Burr's and one was definitely very different from the other, but he had an interpretation of the character that I ended up really liking - but it's still fun for me to find out. And sometimes - like in the case of the Alexander Hamilton I got to see twice - I like their version better than the original, so seeing them after hearing the original got me extra giddy because I already had high expectations and then it was even better. (Actually, with Hamilton I would actively not recommend seeing it without knowing the soundtrack first because there's so much going on some find it difficult to follow if they don't already know the songs.)

It's weird because I generally hate remakes of movies and recasting people on television shows and I'm not even big on book to movie adaptions but I absolutely love hearing different performers in musicals. With Waitress, I've already watched two bootlegged recordings, with Jessie and Betsy. I was hoping one with Sara would pop up but I haven't seen one yet.

The apron in the promo pics is so much darker than her costume will be but I absolutely LOVE it. And she's in NYC now!

So glad the doggies were safe on the plane! I'm sure she's traveled with them many times, but given recent news, I would have been very nervous.
