Today is my first day with no tape on my finger! I have to be careful with it, and I'll still be taping it at night for a couple more weeks. But it feels so good not to have it strapped anymore!

I'm planning for next week as if we're expecting a big snowstorm. I'll be going to the grocery store to stock up today or tomorrow, then hunker down and hope I don't need to leave home for any reason until at least next Monday. I do have to go into the office on Tuesday, but I'm hoping things won't be too bad then.

My boss better not complain that I'm behind on my project stuff. The Inauguration causes a lot of extra work - much of which I've spent the better part of this weekend doing. I do not feel like I've had a weekend at all. In better news, in less than 2 weeks I go to get my eyes checked so I can finally replace my broken glasses. I thought of just using my current prescription, but it's 2 years old. Even if they would allow me to use that prescription, it really doesn't make sense. There's too much chance that it needs to be adjusted. __________________

Louisville basically has Derby season.
The week before is hectic for everybody, the weekend is extra crazy, then come Sunday the entire city sleeps. __________________

My daughter and I were two of the 500,000 peaceful marchers in New York City today. It was an incredible experience. There were many signs, but my favorite was a picture of Princess Leia and the slogan "A woman's place is in the resistance."
