Thanks all! Yeah, I'm living with my sister, and we're slowly SLOWLY unpacking and going through our boxes. It's hard when we both work full time jobs so every evening we get a little bit done lol

Yeah I lived alone for a bit and it took forever to get everything unpacked.

I still have one bedroom that is wall-to-wall boxes - and I've been here 5 months.

I have had a wild couple days - for reasons I'll explain when I get back, I'll be away for a couple of days, but I promise to do my best to fluff the post count when I am back.

(No need to worry about me or anything it's just a LOT and I don't have time to type it up right now.)

Monday is my brother's birthday and Thursday is the US Independence Day - busy week!

We've had record breaking temperatures this weekend! :cool: It was lovely, but we're not really used to it and we don't generally cope with extreme weather very well over here - road surfaces melt, railway tracks buckle etc. :rolleyes: It was worse in other parts of Europe - for once I can safely say I'm glad I wasn't in the south of France this weekend! :lol:

It was SO hot here on Saturday - better today, but definitely made work super busy and hectic.

We're in the low 90s right now, but that's actually fairly normal for this area.

I've heard about the heat wave in Europe. I hope you have a way to get cool, Tiff. I don't think Air Conditioning is as common over there as it is here in the US. Most of the time, it's not needed.

Public buildings tend to have air con, but we don't generally have it in our houses - as you say, it's not really needed. But then when we have a few weeks of hot weather in the summer people start to rethink!

Every time someone says 'air con' it makes me laugh only because I have literally never heard any U.S. native say it but I swear everyone in literally any other country does. :lol:

We spent a summer when I was 16 with my aunt in Bavaria and I was so amazed that we never needed air conditioning. We actually needed light sweaters if we went anywhere in the evening. We got our first A/C when I was 6 months old and I'd never lived anywhere where it wasn't needed.
