TFTNT!

We're in for some really high winds. I had to run out earlier and rescue the covers for my patio furniture. One of them blew right off. We've had a bunch of quick power blips, too. Internet on... Internet off... Internet on... :fingers_crossed:

TFTNT!

Just popping in to say hi! I've had such a crazy week, and lots of traffic/accidents causing traffic on my way home today resulted in me needing to go straight to my job instead of home to nap because there wouldn't have been time to go home and do anything but turn right around and drive the half hour to my job.

Thankfully a perk to working at a hotel is there's a lot of beds. I popped into a spare room and slept on the sofa for an hour before my shift started. That power nap and a 5 hour energy will get me through my shift tonight.

Welcome back Nicole! Hopefully "crazy" translates into a lot of fun and not only a lot of traffic.

That perk sounds like it could be way too tempting sometimes, but I'm glad you were able to get at least a little rest.

Aww well i am glad the hotel has beda then :)

There was a really big storn here last night but i slept right through it. I cant believe it lol

It's good to hear from you, Nicole! Glad you got some sleep, at least. :)

After my shift I went home and slept for 12 hours. It was glorious.

Sounds amazing, Nicole!

So there's an elderly lady who lived across the street from me - she was 80 and passed away last week. She and my neighbor, who I've gotten to know a bit, were good friends. Turns out that lady had a small dog - something like a long-haired terrier of some sort - just the kind of dog I'm looking for - and the family wants to find a home for her. My neighbor is going to see if she can contact them and see if they will let me adopt her. Wish me luck!

Aww good luck with that!

Cyclone139 04-29-2019 09:40 AM

I hope it works out for you, Heidi!

Imzadi 04-30-2019 12:21 AM

aww good luck on that

FoxPhile 05-02-2019 04:20 PM

Well, unfortunately for me, but probably fortunate for the dog, one of the woman's nieces decided to adopt her. I would love to have had her, but it's nice she's going with someone that she at least already knows. It might also have been confusing for her to still be in the same neighborhood but a different house. The adjustment would be much harder for the dog.

And so the search continues... :puppy:

Imzadi 05-02-2019 11:41 PM

aww :( but i am sure you will find the perfect dog for you

Cyclone139 05-03-2019 12:36 AM

Sorry to hear that, Heidi. Good luck with your ongoing search.
