Today is my dad's 60th birthday. I told him I was taking him out to eat for his present. He flat out told me he would rather stay home and wait to see if his brothers were going to call him (he talks to them regularly and it's not like we were going to be out for four hours, in the past if they've called on his birthday and he's been busy he goes "oh they'll call back.)

And that kinda really hurt my feelings and also makes me feel super awkward because I now have no gift for him.

I'm sorry, Nicole. :( It sounds like you had it all planned, but parents have a habit of messing things up and they don't always realise when they've upset you. Maybe he had a good reason for his decision? I hope you can figure something out.

Oh he knows he upset me, he just didn't give a crap about it.

I got back at him by showing him a tattoo of a pinup of his favorite football quarterback that I found on Instagram. :lol:

It was a nice day here. My sister and her fiance came over and spent the whole day with us (so a few hours less with me since I had to nap after work). We had food, watched some Thanksgiving Friends episodes, and continued to baffle her fiance with how she and I can talk entirely in references and have an entire conversation while he has no idea what we just said. :lol:

I am completely stressed about money (as in, I currently make about $37 a month more than my bills are) but thankfully I had enough distractions today to not think about that as much.

I just switched from Netflix back to broadcast TV only to find college football. I forgot that's not just a one-day thing anymore - it will extend through the entire weekend. :P
