True, and we'll get The Night Manager next year, too.

Too bad I'm not a very patient person, though.

It's hard to wait because you know the movie is done and ready, out there somewhere, and waiting to be shown on a screen. Give it to us!

I like that Tom is mixing movies with a mini-series. Movies are great, but weekly fixes are sweet, too.

Seeing pics of them filming the whole time gets everybody really pumped too. Also the awesome story lines.

Oh no! Someone should tell the cast. James Purefoy was on the Rachel Ray Show today and said it was screening at Cannes and I got excited!

Uh-oh! Thanks for that bit of information - perhaps it is screening at Cannes, but just for possible interested distributors..?

Speaking of which - saw this looking for some info on Twitter:

The website of one the distributors listed above has the movie labelled as a 2016 release, btw -not sure if that's only referred to France, or wordwide:

It may just be France since it's a French site. Don't these kinds of movies usually get released in the U.S first.

WHAT. Kristine, I spend half my fandom life bitching about release dates in my country.

I don't know. At first I thought 2016 only referred to France, but seeing as we don't have the US release date yet, doesn't it make more sense that 2016 is the general information they've been given about when the film will be available?

I think US gets all the big movies first, especially blockbusters, but in recent years they have started showing some of them in Europe/Asia first to increase the buzz and the positive word of mouth, and to test the audience's reaction.

High Rise is a British production though, so UK should get it first.

I wish he was in Game of Thrones. He would probably be a good Prince Rhaegar Targaryen. Imagine him with long white hair.

Edit: Actually you know what. Tom would probably be sick of playing royalty again. But Ben Barnes would be an excellent Prince Rhaegar. He played Prince Caspian in the Chronicles of Narnia. He's pretty hot to.
