Back at her school, Cosima has just met a brilliant French student named Delphine, who is dealing with a bad
breakup. There’s an instant connection between the two women.

Over in Cosima’s neck of the woods, Delphine is proving to be too charming to stay away from.

Based on the look on Cosima’s face when her new French friend kisses her on either cheek, I think she might
be equal parts suspicious of her intentions and falling for that accent.

Cosima was hesitant at first, but that face and that accent — even smart girls get dumb around girls like Delphine.

While we weren't sure how we were going to feel about yet another monitor turning their back on their job because of
feelings for their clone, it was how Evelyne Brochu played the scenes as Delphine struggled with her feelings for Cosima
and her job as monitor ... and she showed up at the loft in the finale to warn Cosima about Dr. Leekie that won us over.

Delphine's relationship with Cosima started off ... tainted by the lies. However, that also changed with the final two
episodes, and by the time Cosima was admitting she was sick and Delphine was holding her, we were on board.

Also I was thinking about the quotes we can use for titles out of S3 and I realised that not once this season did Delphine say "I love you" or a variation thereof and yet her love for Cosima was never made clearer, was never in doubt. EBro played Delphine's love for Cosima so sublimely that it didn't need to be even said. Just bravo to Ebro really, bravo, she nailed it.

As an aside I also find it a little depressing that Cosima did say ILY, she also said "I came back for you" but here I am doubting if she meant it as much as thought she did.

Btw guys if you value your emotions don't watch this. It may have actually broken me inside.

I just dont understand how Delphine, Cophine & Evelyne got such a subpar sendoff compared to Pauls & everything Dylan got to do when he was leaving. If its so set in stone Delphines dead why not give it some more fan fare instead of expecting viewers to wait until next season for them to maybe do it right or acknowledge it at all. It doesnt feel like a proper sendoff, it feels like they put as little effort into it as they could for the sake of a cliffhanger most people see right through. Thats my biggest problem, the double standard between Cophine & whatever Sarah/Paul is called. Paul got fully redeemed, the ship got real closure & then Dylan got exit interviews while Evelyne isnt going to get anything like that thats BS.

I barely registered the last scene other than them using a Sigur Ros song I like, and now it's ruined because it reminds me of Delphine bleeding out. A.s.s.holes.

I actually resented seeing Sarah and fam smiling and laughing after what Delphine had done for all of them only to be left dying.

Oh I have no doubt that Cosima totally meant what she said, both times

She was just really heartbroken and didn't know how to deal with it. My heart breaks for her in the s3 premiere, she's SO happy when she sees Delphine and then "I can't do this", that must have hurt like hell

The only thing that really didn't make sense, imo, was her jumping into a new relationship so soon after the break up, but her anger and bitterness towards Delphine were totally understandable to me.

There are only 2 possibilities for that behavior: 1) They're truly terrible people who want to keep people hanging around for a year by refusing to give Delphine's death finality in the way they filmed it or by allowing EB to give interviews about it, or 2) Delphine isn't dead.

Without getting too heavily into it, I and others here have speculated that Shay shot her based on several things. I've gone back and forth about that possibility, first thinking yes, then definitely no, but now I'm back to...yes? I've gone over other reasons previously, but EB very deliberately looks her shooter up and down, adding a tiny frown of disgust at the end, just like she did every. freaking. time. she regarded Shay. *If* Shay did do it, huge kudos to EBro on that touch, which she wove into several episodes.

I have a very long theory, which I won't bore anyone with, but basically it comes down to, if Shay did shoot Delphine, there will be no lasting Shaysima, only a waiting game for Cosima to figure it out.

JF said he wanted people asking themselves who did it, so they obviously must have left clues. It's their big cliffhanger. The clues they left point to Shay. They already misdirected away from her being the Castor mole once, so, while I think it's too easy in some respects, they can't keep letting her off the hook. As pissed as I am, I don't buy for a second that Shay is just a "girlfriend." So, yes, there could be a lot of Shaysima in S4 but it might not be what people are expecting.

Or, somewhere up in Canda, JF and GM could be drinking Scotch and writing the worst season in the history of TV at this very moment. And that's very possible.

ETA: As for why Delphine was shot in the liver, it could play into the Shay/Delphine torture scene. As pay back, Shay shoots her in the liver, leaving her in excrutiating pain, and then applies pressure, causing more pain, but stopping her from bleeding out. She tells Delphine she'll help Cosima ("What will happen to her?") as long as Delphine agrees to cooperate and go to Neolution (for something scientific), or Delphine can bleed out and Cosima's fate is not so pleasant. That little scenario would tie all those stupid Shay/Delphine scenes together, which means...it will never happen, and I'm claiming it as my fanfiction!!

And then Delphine would finally get shipped to Germany where she and Rachel end up having to work together (poor Delphine). Meanwhile, because Delphine said goodbye to Cosima and left instructions with Shay, Cosima thinks Delphine just left the country again. She's not angry now (and not grieving because she doesn't know Delphine was shot at all), and she tries to embrace a semi-normal life with Shay...who the audience knows is evil, but has access to the Clone Club Delphine never enjoyed. Tick-tock on figuring it all out before Shay figures out where the Original is stashed.

That's it. That's my fanfic. Problem is, I have no desire to write a fanfic with so much Shay.

This is the #1 reason I believe Delphine would come back. I refuse that her death would basically go unacknowledged by everyone, especially by OBTumblr (who know best of all how much Cophine/Delphine/EBro is loved by the fandom). The way the writers are just like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ about it, coupled with the lack of any real send-off (especially compared to Paul/DB, who, lbr, was not very popular) is pretty much a guarantee she'll be back. I could be wrong, but again, haven't this fandom predicted 99% of what will happen with Cophine/Delphine since S1??
