Ok, whoa! This latest eppy, Room 417, I’m sure you guys were way ahead of me but I truly was at a loss until about the halfway point when it finally hit me that the huge, universal scope of all the setups revealed in today’s and recent episodes, were WAY too huge, ingenious, universal & over the top for them NOT to belong to Reddington. So all of his over the top ways & means for how he came into every bit of extensive, global, confidential intel he’s been privy to and operated on have finally been revealed to all of us…BUT…umm, I’m still trying to guess how it’s all going to end!

At first thought, it seems to me that the writers are way too obviously leading us to the conclusion that Red is going to die and leave all his brilliant ways of coming up with undercover operations to a new generation (But I don’t think he’ll involve Agnes…he wants only total joy and safety for her). And I was still thinking that very thing of him wanting to leave this difficult, demanding life to others to live a calmer, more normal existence, or possibly that he really IS going to die…UNTIL 1) I remember how smart and savvy and tricky these writers have ALWAYS been and 2) I saw the quick flash in the previews after the episode ended…where Red said, “You made a devil’s bargain! Did you really expect me to stop being the devil?!!”

So now I’m double-minded about how the final couple of episodes will go! On one hand, he still could be doing all of this because his time on earth is coming to an end due to whatever his illness is…OR …hmm …OR…OR I don’t have a clue! Ha! All I know at this juncture is that I’ll be scratching my head trying to outsmart Red by figuring this out myself before it gets revealed to us in the final episodes. But I’m pretty certain that since the writers are WAY more clever than I am, I’ll likely be waiting for the final episodes with HUGE anticipation!!! If anyone wants to venture a guess as to how this could possibly end outside of Red dying, I hope you’ll share sometime.

But wowser, this was one of the best episodes ever in my opinion.

I had a feeling it was another one of Red's Enterprise's. Glad the team finally figured out what was going on with Red and his companies.

Ressler's "friend" though, he says that he doesn't want to do the dirty, but still does it and the Senator is

I think now that Red has a terminal illness and is sorting out all his affairs, but could be wrong

I agree he must have some kind of terminal illness although they havn't shown us any scenes in a long time to back that up. Harold admits that he can never get a straight answer out of him, lol. Amazing 10 seasons and we still don't know who this guy is. I am beginning to think we will never hear it from Red's lips. Might just have to draw our own conclusions. I think we deserve an answer!

That is such a good point, that after all these years of at least feeling like we know Red, we actually don't know him at all and are still easily duped by him, just like the team is. And I agree that yeah man, after all this time, we deserve to know!

And I also agree about Ressler's so called friend! I mean he seems to sincerely believe that Ressler has given his time and advice to the point he's saved his life...yet he goes right along and steals his phone info!! And all the while appearing to all of us as really struggling to do it. And the way he sneakily got Ressler to actually casually hand over his phone in the first place while he was so distraught he was practically crying! (and he actually was distraught but so maddening the way he used that to his advantage! Grrr, so maddening.) I hate to say it but I'm starting to think the guy is going to end his life soon. Sadly, he's shown himself to be completely unstable!

So bottom line for me is that Red's life is terminal and we'll find out he has a week to live and then bid us all farewell...UNLESS...UNLESS the writers are both kind and clever enough to give us all a happier ending. Please.

I love that after all these years they can still keep us guessing on who Red is

I loved the line in the preview that had Red saying “You made a devil’s bargain! Did you really expect me to stop being the devil?!!”

I didnt realize that enterprise was red's until they discovered it themselves. although I should have known it was his all along.
