It's the dam writers fault, I'm beginning to wonder if Julian Fellowes has got it in for Bates and Anna, after him being falsely accused and stuck in prison and now this, time they got a bloody break from all this misery.
At least she's got a confidante in Mrs Hughes, otherwise don't know what the poor girl would do.

I'm glad too that it was Mrs. Hughes who saw her. I just need the rest of the family to find out and Bates too. I want Green behind bars!

I agree. She nailed it again in this ep. I can't believe she was even defending Green! She was saying that he didn't do anything wrong. And it was all because she's still protecting Bates. Anna stop torturing yourself and thinking of others before yourself!

I do love that part when Bates told her that he knows. Her face and when she hugged him said it all.

Anna is strong but she can't do this on her own.

Here's Joanne on The Jonathan Ross Show. She was adorable and teared up at the clip they showed of Anna and Mary. You can tell how much all the actors care about their characters.

Thank you so much for posting this beautiful gif. Can you please post a link for the entire interview? I love that she's addressing the Anna/Bates issue by saying they can survive anything. Maybe she knows something we (the viewers ) still don't know

I think it's a very good question but I'm not sure if Violet would have time to deal with it because in the next ep she's not doing so well herself.
