I loved Ethan tonight, but I wish it didn't have to all be so sad and intense. Blair did a great job though.

Yes, He was strong. He stuck by Dan, and didn't let Dan push him away, or scare him off. He acted like the older brother, comforting Dan, grounding him, stopping the desperation from overtaking him. He did a great job. But another strong silent role. Very frustrating for me

Probably. When Dan is no longer in shock, then maybe they can really discuss the whole thing. Dan knows that Emma was very different from Sutton. At least he will when he stops and thinks about it. Ethan needs to really explain the whole situation, and how it snow balled. When Dan is ready to listen.

I think so maybe Dan will see how Emma stuck by him and all that and just realize its a lot more complicated then he thinks.

Well, it started out as a two day thing. Then Ethan found out about it when Sutton didn't return. Just as Emma went to report Sutton missing, Sutton contacted her and told her to carry on the charade. Emma had a great temptation being handed a family and a dream life after her childhood in foster care. When some of the details of the situation come out, people may not be as censorious. But right now, it looks bad. Honestly, as soon as they got the death threat (from Sutton) they should have gone to the police. But Dan may also remember that Alec was involved in all this, and so mybe all the blame for the secrets doesn't fall on Ethan's shoulders

Plus I also think with the whole being torn with E/S they had to take Ethan out of that. That whole mess ideally wasn't a good place for his character to be in. Being lost in between the two of them like that.

I suppose. I don't really understand myself, never having been involved with any twins in any way. It seems like he should have liked one, and not really liked the other, because they are so different. I don't really understand the confusion thing here. I get the practical difficulties of your girlfriend sharing a life with a twin sister, and trying not to share a boyfriend, but I never really understood Ethan's feelings on the matter.

I think he fell in love with Emma no doubt, but the inner struggle for him was Trying to keep up the pretense as Sutton's boyfriend, never really given the chance to actively pursue a relationship HE wanted which was with Emma of course and it all got tied into lies and deception and the twins switching back and forth. I honestly think he completely got emotionally lost in all that. Which now if you think about everything that has happened has led up to this..

Him kissing Sutton at the Ranch I think was the start of him losing himself into this whole twin situation and it was constantly a rollercoaster that he really couldnt get off the way he wanted to. But NOW he finally got off it if that makes sense.

I still think the ranch had to do with him missing Emma, and not being able to tell her he loved her. It was desperation, and there was Sutton, looking exactly like Emma. That confusion I can understand. He realized once he kissed her it wasn't the right twin for him. But going back to Sutton after Emma left town was weird. So you think that was just because people knew he was Sutton's boyfriend? But they had broken up.

I have no idea, it could be... All i know a part of me think that has in part has gotten Ethan to where he is now, Theresa's death was closing the coffin on it I think.
