Oh, man, as a writer, I would kill for that kind of chemistry. That is the main reason I hope Switched at Birth receives more seasons.

Bay & Emmett's chemistry really does need to be explored.

They try so hard with Daphne and the chemistry is just never there between Katie and whoever. The best was probably Austin butler.

See, if I had faith that they'd explore it, then I would too. But I just don't trust that they wouldn't use it to screw around with them as a couple and us.

I understand your reasoning about Kiss 21, and I agree. I call BS on the writers, too. As much as I love that kiss, there's no way that Emmett wouldn't have been in love with Bay, too.

Now, I cannot decide between 21 and maybe 5 or 6.

Why does this have to be so hard?

The only bad thing about five is Daphne's got her stink face on while looking at them.

I'm sorry I just don't believe Daphne ever really wanted Emmett. Not like Bay did. She may have 'wanted' him because her life was falling apart, but she never loved him the way Bay did (or does rather.)

But 6 was so cute. I love how he just lights up when she reveals herself. And the head touch.

Ugh, these two are gross.

And by gross I mean, sooooo adorable and they break my heart.

it really was great. and it was so so easy to fall in love with them. i am conflicted because i actually do like watching them get older and i like watching their relationship get more intense and more adult ~~(even though there's so much BS drama)~~, but watching them fall in love was amazing. so young and pure.

Yes, I know what you mean. Exactly what you mean.

I think what helped - for me at least - was that Sean and Vanessa were both young when the show started. Sean turned 18 during filming and Vanessa was 18 for a bit too until she turned 19.

They were so baby faced and it worked.

Looking back, it was so obvious they'd get together.

I just love that Emmett was the one person who put Bay first during that time in her life when everyone else acted like Daphne was a shiny new toy and Regina couldn't be bothered with Bay. And I love that Emmett was 100% against hearing/Deaf relationships, but boy did his tune change after Bay.

I love relationships like that.

going back- that look at the end of the pilot and then again in 1x02, it was so obvious. but i remember watching the pilot and assuming ty was going to be her boring endgame romance. i wasn't feeling them from the beginning and didn't watch sab again after 1x04 aired. but i ended up catching a marathon before 1x11 started and was so pleasantly surprised when bay/emmett started interacting in 1x06. i just could not take my eyes off them when they were in scenes together. their chemistry was so captivating and natural.

Usually I'm good at calling endgame couples but with SAB, I was like, oh, okay so how long before Daphne realizes Emmett's into her and they get together? Not in a "Yay, I ship them!" kind of way, but in a, oh, so it's going to be one of those unrequited-at-first best friends becoming more stories, eh? Snooze.

And then I remember seeing an episode synopsis saying Bay and Emmett's relationship would get more serious and I was like hold the phone. What?

Although I have to admit, I wasn't alllll in until after 1x11. Before that, I was at level 6, Bay and Emmett are adorable. But then it went off for hiatus and I was distracted by other shows. And then I saw the 1x11 promo and I was at level 10 shipper status.

From zero to sixty quite fast.
