I think Bay felt bad after John gave her the lecture, and you could genuinely see Angelo coming to the realization that yes, he is a father. It's not just a figure of speech, and now he's going to worry about Bay, and he can't be her friend. He's going to have to put his foot down eventually too, because I do think Bay still sees him as the "cool" parent, probably the same way she views Regina. Definitely interesting how Bay views her bio parents versus her legal parents.

I hope they play on that more.

Agreed, I still think Bay is viewing Angelo right now like the 'friend.' I did kind of feel bad for Angelo because the parenting thing is new for him and on one hand, I get that he'd want to do something for Bay to show that he wants to be there for her but it just wasn't the right way.

I hope they play on it more, too. Lately, Angelo has had more interaction with Daphne. I am really looking forward to seeing Angelo and Bay grow as father and daughter.

I'm actually enjoying the Daphne/Angelo progression; however, I do look forward to Angelo and Bay too.

This is just my opinion, but I think the show is trying to keep firmly grounded in roots, and not just biological roots. I get the feeling they want to make it clear that parent/child relationships are important from the non-biological perspective, so I get why they are coming at us strong with that right now. But I do think in time, we'll get to see more biological parent/child bonding.

Yes, I agree. Neither Bay nor Daphne has called John/Kathryn or Regina/Angelo mom and dad. Bay calls J&K mom and dad and Regina "Regina" and Angelo "Angelo," and same for Daphne. Obviously it's intentional to not say, hey, bio-parents are more important that legal parents, and I think that is smart.

But I also think Angelo and Bay will bond more in time.

As Regina said in the pilot, Bay has two mothers now, whether she likes it or not, Same goes for Daphne.. Both girls have two fathers but Bay is open to both of them ,Daphne isn't so open to Angelo

By comparison, it's kind of ironic that it's sort of the opposite for each girl right now. In my estimation, Bay is the one more open to Angelo right now, while Daphne is resistant. And Daphne is closer to Regina right now, as she was raised by her, while Bay is the one a bit resistant to pushing things with that relationship.

Me, too. If Bay does open her heart to him, and Angelo lets her down, it will be a difficult wound to heal.
