(On Rumplestiltskin's voice)“There’s no way I could speak in my normal voice while looking so extraordinary and while having this bizarre stuff to say,” the actor reasoned. “I tried many different types of voices and the thing that I landed on was completely by chance, really, thanks to my son. He was wandering though the house making these high-pitched voices and sounds I thought, ‘Rumpelstiltskin has a child-like quality to him, he kind of enjoys gleefully tricking people.’”

There's something about these performances in the past few years. In a slight sense it’s about age but without a doubt it has also given me what I used to call weight. I remember when I was in Scotland and I first started acting with these older actors and they had weight. They didn’t have to act. It was just there. I think I’m finally on that path to gravitas.“

This was a combination of everything. I had to think about how he was going to move, how he was going to look, how he was going to sound… my six year old son is always wandering about the house with a strange voice saying [random noises] and I was like…”

I hope Gold tells Belle how he got his limp. I hope she asks - and that he'd be honest wtih her. I don't see why he wouldn't. I think it would be cathartic for him -and Belle would love him more than ever, seeing what he went through for his son, to be a father. Plus, I think she'd love to hear more about his previous life. I hope this happens, after their reunion, when they're both so open and the happiest they've ever been.

TFTNT! Finally, Rumple has found his son as a fulfillment of the seer's prophecy! Though it leads him to a bitter end, his mission is accomplished anyway. I think by bringing magic to SB, he tries to evade his fate. Will Henry, his grandson supposedly with a quarter of his gene, really become his ... kryptonite?

I don't think he's a real coward either; he's had it beaten into himself for SO long, by that witch he was married to especially. That's why when Belle calls him that in SD and in Croc, it hurts so much.

The library scene is iconic - truly extraordinary, from the way Gold emerges from behind the stacks speaking those beautiful lines, to the way he ripped his soul open to reveal himself to Belle. In those moments, he was truly naked.

Questions I have:

Things I want to know about Rum's parents ( After reading that spoiler tweet about Rum's father ):

1) Why was Rum's father a ''coward'' ( could Rum be the son of the Cowardly Lion from Oz )

2) Who is Rum's father? ( Could he be the Cowardly Lion from Oz )

3) Who is Rum's mother ( Could his mother be Dorothy, Wicked Witch, or even Glinda)

4) Who were the ''spinsters'' that raised Rumpel when he was a child?

5) Why did his parents name him Rumpelstiltskin?

6th Question: Did Rum's mother die or did she leave her son like Milah left Baelfire?

Belle's memory won't go back to her head by itself. Gold has to find a way to get close to her and fix that before a confession of more details from his past.

Ikr? He never really open up before until that scene and I have to say its my favorite scene of them. It's just so breathtaking and absolutely beautiful and well done. The only other time that we see him truly naked was when he thought that August was his son I think.
But yeah at first when I see Manhattan I was like did Milah loved him? And afterward I was like noo nope that witch never love him and she wished him dead! I was like woah you did not just say that!

When Bae was caressing Rumple's nose, it melted his heart and mine. Rumple and Milah were in love, which, though, was NOT true love. The raven haired lady had her thought poisoned by what everyone else spoke of her husband before her judgement clouded with her misery.

He will tell the truth of his limp, to Bae, to Belle, to the Charmings or all of them. It would be risky, in need of great courage which he hasn't obtained yet, imo

It melted my heat too. I can't believe I'm saying this but Rum looks really happy with Milah and when they were looking at each other and he smiles I was like oh my, his smile would be the death of me. But yeah I think they were in love. I'm really interested in the story of how they got married and all but def NOT true love since its our BELLE who truly holds his heart *melt* I need Rumbelle! I can't stand this anymore

What I love the most is the fact that Belle can't be swayed by people's opinion about Rum or what others say about him while Milah just thinks of him as a coward like everybody else. Belle loves him even after everything he've done which I think is truly beautiful and that's why I love them so much because that's what I think true love essentially is.
